Lawbreakers. F2P FPS Cliffy B game. [Update] It is no longer F2P.

I would rather wast my time with Call of Duty pick one than this game. My problem with this game they made it pretty but not very functional. Call of Duty games are 1st class when it comes to functionality of weapons movements and good looking maps. This game isn't anything special....generic FPS
I even like Counter Strike GO more and Duke Nukem forever.

I don't know, but the weapon set they apparently had I was unable to find on my team, so...maybe not?

So I double checked this and they do indeed have the same weapon sets. However the characters themselves look vastly different so I think that played into my confusion.

I tried playing again before the alpha ended and could never find an active match...it just kept Waiting for players even though both teams had players. I think the matchmaking mechanic is fucked up.

Open beta live right now?

Yeah and the complaints are the same game is too fast makes people dizzy Cliffy went from Gears of War suits being unmobile to fast action floating arena shooter. He should of made a Zombie game with Gears of War like characters that would go over big.

I gave it a shot but couldn't really get into it.

I'm a fan of weird niche multiplayer FPS games (Titanfall 1 and 2) but I'm not sure if I should sink time into this...

I gave it a shot a couple of days ago and I have to say I pretty much enjoyed it. The game feels more like a new gen UT style game with faster gameplay sort of. It's definetly different than Overwatch and fun in it's own way. I think I may pick it up next month on release. It's worth 30 bucks for sure imo.

Game is out today reviews are all pointing to good but I wasn't a fan of the map in the beta really.

LawBreakers' launch numbers are much lower than Battleborn's

According to GITHYP, the final release for LawBreakers saw a whopping 60% reduction over its initial beta player count. Launch night saw only a peak of 3k players, which is pretty bad when compared to Battleborn’s 12k.

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like it was just a rough start, as since then the numbers have only gone down. Daily lows are already dropping to below 1,000 players, and the peaks are also going down as the days go by. Tuesday, the day after launch, saw a reduction of 300 people, giving a peak of only 2.7k.

For most players, this might not be too big of an issue in the short-term, as 1,000 is more than enough to find at least one match going at any given moment. In the long-term, though, it doesn’t bode well for continued support, as that number is almost definitely going to fall even lower without some major work from developers Boss Key.

Considering Battleborn performed better than LawBreakers and still went free-to-play, maybe the future for Boss Key’s shooter is already set in stone? After all, the game was initially meant to be free-to-play before an early change to being a premium title.

That's a bummer to hear.

I had a lot of fun with the first couple betas and due to timing and things going on in my life, I didn't get to play the latter ones.

Even so, I'm waiting until the end of the month to pick up the game because I'll be moving for the next few weeks. Hopefully it picks up momentum by then since I've been looking forward to this one.

I seen on Twitter his wife is playing Destiny Instead nobody is going to topple Destiny and the Call of Duty franchises if you do you need alot of luck because their is so much quality stuff out there the arena shooter market even ID is having is having a hard time. Depends on how Quake Champions goes around with it's Free to Play and those guys created the arena shooter.

3.5 months later, Nexon is completely writing off the game.

We will not be accruing any other impairment loss pertaining to Lawbreakers in the future.
He goes on to blame poor sales and launch on the release of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS.
Nexon CFO Shiro Uemura said:
Our results in North America in the third quarter were below our outlook, mainly due to the sales from Lawbreakers being below our expectations. Lawbreakers is a unique FPS developed for core users. We had very high expectations for its launch; however, the timing of its launch turned out to be unfortunate, specifically the blockbuster PC online game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds came out right about the same time, making the market environment very tough for first-person shooters in general and for Lawbreakers.

Quake Champions
Dirty Bomb
PUBG
Rainblow Six Seige
Killing Floor
Warface
CSGO
Destiny 2
Overwatch

No, it failed because it wasn't that good. Even in Beta you could tell that.

Not to defend this weak-ass argument-xplanation of why Lawbreakers didn't do well, but...

If so many people are playing PUBG then what are they not playing? Are all other games hurting just as bad?

(This is not really a serious question. And honestly what do I know, I happen to LOVE games with dying playerbases, I'm looking at you, Titanfall.)

Let's not get ahead of ourselves with prepending excellent to it
