just bought an xbox one s - console noob. looking for good games.

I am primarily a PC gamer.
I want to be able to play games with my 13 yo son.

What are some recommendations ?
no interest in 3rd or 1st person games.

Easy. Sell Xbox, build rig (maybe even VR) with son, play steam games.

I can't think of any RTS type games out there yet.

You hit the big titles for racing. Also, it's not a traditional "racing" game but my son loves it - Rocket League, and it supports local coop

Dragon Age 3, ME Andromeda, FFXV come to mind for RPGs though, they are all a bit older though and not really something you could do with your son.

Diablo III, any of the Lego games, and Minecraft all also support local coop if your into that kind of thing, although not exactly the type of games you are looking for. I bring them up because they may be good titles to bond over that you can find some common interest.

Halo wars is a nice casual RTS with some impressive presentation value.

It is illegal to own an Xbox console and not have at least one Forza Motorsport title.

There are some nice games available, but not sure if you want to play co-op or something, otherwise, wasteland 2, Final fantasy XV, Halo wars.

Killer instinct can be played with 2 players if you are into that kind of games.
