I have 1ETH worth $475 at time of posting. I'm really tempted on cashing out and getting a GTX1070Ti. As my GTX1070 has already paid for itself and then some.

I resisted cashing out about a month ago when it was $300 something. Should I wait some more and risk a crash?

Cash out.

Get you that shiny new piece of hardware.

....and mine on it too.

:D

I cashed out @ 468, it was making me too nervous.
I promptly put it back into ltc because I think it's going to hit 80 and I am greedy, bought back into ltc @ 75.
Really tempted to sell out and stop messing with it and just relax the rest of my holiday weekend.

I would throw 30 40 bucks @ xrp just in case it actually explodes next year like I see a lot of predictions, I know I did.

Remember, you can stop loss on most exchanges.

Eth should get 800-1000 within a month or two.

Well yeah, but it can algo go back to sub $300. But I see your point. It seems everytime it goes down, it bounces back and then some. When I started mining I was hoping to cash at $360 (so I could get back what I paid for the GTX1070), by the time I mined 1ETH it was under $300, since it bounced several times during that period, I decided to wait and now here we are.

If it somehow goes up to $500 during the weekend I might just get a GTX1080

Glad I got back into litecoin.
this is fun.

HODL unless you don't have a surplus of cash coming in. I've been cashing out only enough to stay roughly $4500 of my personal funds in. that is about how much I could lose completely without actually feeling it.

I calculated that if spent $200 in BTC when it first came out, I’d be a millionaire now.

No, get into crypto and sit on it, sell now and in a 6 months or a years time you will wish you hadnt.

Have a profitable sell price in mind when you mine, and stick to it. Don't sell below.
No reason to play double or nothing till the sad day everyone loses. Make sure you
cash out your original investment in reasonable time, so you don't lose more than
you can actually afford to gamble.

Hopefully the bubble lasts, and you can "invest in coins" by expanding your mining
potential. A more sensible investment would be to pay off your mortgage.

Where does the money (for payouts) come from?
Investors dopey enough to believe they can all get back more than they put in.
Some will, but most won't. Exactly why the obscenely rich are not "The 50%."

Where does the money go?
Miners, Poolers, Coders, Exchanges, Taxman, nameless Crazy Criminals...
Entirely been siphoned off. Nothing left for "Investors" except to discover the
true emptiness of "Ponzi". Hopefully well after we've taken the money and ran.

Our Dollar works just like this, and no reason to believe it will collapse tomorrow.
Like any impending black hole, some are held up by stronger twigs than others.
Proof of guns over proof of merit, any day of the week.

Or you could get hit by a car tomorrow and it will just float away into the ether never doing anything for anyone.

this is random and not really directed at you specifically:
Make sure you have a plan for loved ones to be able to get a hold of this if something happens to you. I spent 2 hours walking my wife through doing a transfer and deposit through coinbase and I bet she still doesn't really have a clue how to do it.

Very very true, and good plan, people don't think about their digital life when they pass away, I should do the same for the wife!

There's bound to be a drop soon... but when? I'm really scared its going to come crashing down in the next few days (or hours)
When does this end? the whales are charging HARD.

Not a chance in hell.

I'll remember you said that.

Dash and eth usually stay around the same price and dash is at $623 right now. When BTC starts to correct people will be putting money/btc else where. Eth, LTC, Dash, Zcash will see big gains as well as small cap coins.

I am not bragging, this was 100 percent lucky and this is the first time I seemingly nailed my trading.
I sold out of ltc @ 330 and put everything into XRP @ sub 30 cents.

Intend to ride xrp to a dollar and re assess.

It could all blow up in my face at any moment.

yeah they just banned XRP from something and BOOM gone.

Ok I've waited enough. Its not like I need the cash now, but damn that GTX1070Ti is looking really sexy. Heck at the current price I might even pick a 1080Ti. I'm trasfering the ETH to an exchange right now.

Hell XRP was at .50ish cents when I woke up this AM so far you got nice gainz in a little bit of time! I've been holding since August 988 XRP at .19ish and just bought 600 more few weeks ago at .25ish!

Oh no, I am super happy.
I volunteered to teach my wife how to build her own pc tonight so I must be in a good mood.

edit:xrp about to break 50 cents
