Does any one have any of these things

Old CPUs
775 Board
AM2+ Board
DDR2 RAM
DDR3 RAM
SATA HDDs
HD 4000 Series GPU
HD 5000 series GPU
HD 6000 Series GPU
GTX 200 Series GPU
GTX 400 Series GPU
GTX 500 Series GPU

Using parts to help some friends get into PCs that don’t have any money

Also if anyone wants it I have a Xbox One Kinect I have no need for. Just cover shipping

Interested in the kinect, also I have a GTX 285, maybe some older DDR2, possibly some ancient 775 chips too. Let me know if they peak your interest! I know for a fact the 775 chips, GTX 285 are fully functional. DDR2 I'll have to dig around for.

The Kinect has been claimed

But pm about the others. Definitely interested

Looking for a graphics card for my little bro's rig. Put in a 650w antec power supply, but doesnt have the extra 8 pin I need for the GTX480 I have on hand, so no POST :(. Possibly a matched pair of DDR2-800+ as well.

What sizes of Sata HDD's re we looking for here Durvelle? Like 4-6 year old small ones or something like a few month old virtually new 250-500 GB? 2.5 inch or 3.5 inch? I've got a few things I may be able to sell ya but I need to know a bit more about what you're looking for, I can't go free on the new stuff but I can get ya a decent deal compared to amazon

Also for CPU's what are we talking? I've got a Q9400 and some E7500's I'm thinking of putting in a bundle on my FS page this weekend

Can't use a molex to 8 pin or something similar?

Anything above 250GB the rest doesn’t matter as much and no specific set models as most still perform decently for normal usage

Those things are a fire hazard, get a PSU with a native 8 pin connector.

they are OK if you properly feed them from multiple separate Molex wires all the way back to the PSU

usually you see them whacked on 2 molex that are already in series, so 4@ 12V feeds pinched down to 1 yellow wire...not good

and even with 2 yellow wires, no coin mining or benchmarks allowed

On Monday I can ship 2x 500 GB HDD's, these are both 3.5 inch models, one WD one Seagate, 18000 hours/111 power on one, 14000 hours/300 power on the other, both green in crystal disk, both from 2015. I'm not sure what shipping will be on these but I could do $13 shipped for the pair if that sounds ok. I'll have newer drives on my FS page soon but people still pay 25-30 for those each so I can't just give them away

Yeah not looking to break records. Just get him up and gaming in some sort of capacity. I have a spare 6 pin in the system, so would a 6 pin + molex to 8 pin adapter be ideal? The PSU has 3 12v rails @ 19a each. Multi rail psu's are foreign to me.

Edit: dual molex to 6 pin, then that plus spare 6 pin to 8 pin?

I think you're good on the power, so just a simple adapter that works should work. I used a Startech branded one putting an old GTX 210(?) into an older Dell Precision 670 and it's been working fine for months now.

A gt210 is a completely different animal compared to a GTX 480. He is running a gt210 right now. But I'll look into getting a 6pin to 8 pin adapter.

Basically why I stated a fire hazard. Too many conditions where things can go wrong, with the biggest being if the +12v wire is too small. Cheap PSUs sometimes use 20AWG wire instead of the required 18 or 16AWG, which doesn't have the capacity to carry 150W+. There's also a new phenomenon where Chinese wire companies are padding smaller gauge wire with extra thick insulation to make the wire look like something it's not.

Then there's the user error factor, if the PC ever changes hands to someone who doesn't know anything, things can go very wrong.

Sorry, it was a GTX260 that required 2 6-pin connectors. There were plenty of extra leads to convert from, so it wasn't an issue in my configuration, but I had no idea that Chinese scamming has gotten that bad--this is what UL listing was supposed to be for in the first place.

If it was a separate power supply made by a company that has support, I'd just call and ask what they recommend. After all, they made it that way--and maybe for a reason.

Like to know if anyone would have mounting hardware for a Silverstone AR06 cooler? Had bought a used one without any hardware and Silverstone tech agt said the stock won't be available for 25 days.

anybody got a Win 7 pro key?

I just stuffed more RAM in one of my DC rigs only to discover that it had home premium...with it's attendant 16GB cap :(

Maybe if you don't pay attention but his 650 watt supply should have plenty of separate feeds to use one safely. I have a dual 6 pin to 8 pin adapter as well as a dual molex to 6 pin adapter that came with an older EVGA GTX card. No reason you can't use those as long as you use separate feeds from the PSU.

God, that's a shame...I got no use for it but thanks for offering it up anyway
Agreed! At least put it up on ebay for no reserve as I know someone must need this exact thing--shame to trash it.

Actually, do you have the HP part number for it? Let me check something...
