Hi, I'm hoping to get some help troubleshooting this problem. When playing VR (Occulus) the PC will shuts off, and will need to be left for a while before it comes back on.

It only happens when playing VR, I'm thinking maybe it has to do with all the USB's and stuff active for VR.

I have reinstalled windows several times and the problem remains.

CPU: i5 (this is a friends PC, I forget the CPU)
MOBO: MSI Z78 GD65 Gaming
RAM: 16gb
GPU: GTX 970
PSU: Corsair CX500
Windows 10 x64

I have run benchmarks and stress test to check for that, everything runs fine. It only happens when playing VR. I assume it has to do with the amount of active USB's and HDMI's etc since that is the only real difference I think VR causes.

I would advise to make sure you have the latest mobo bios. And possibly reseting of the settings in said bios and undoing any overclocks temporarily. I had similar issues with same brand but different board but same generation this worked for me and I was able to reinstate my CPU overclock later without issue.

Are you using the USB ports on the back of the motherboard or the USB ports on the front/side of your case?

Also if you are using too many powered USB devices it will cause the PC to do weird things as it can't deliver enough power. A powered USB hub would solve that.
