Hi, I’m interested in getting two 4K LCD monitors, each monitors high resolution is 3840x2160 so with the 2 combined the resolution will be 7680x4320.
Also I will be getting graphic card GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB maximum supports high res 7680x4320.
So I would like to know that my PC is on for about 8-10 hours at a time and if I have all these high resolution equipment will they over heat after being on for this amount of time?

it will be *on* but doing what activity?.. everything depend on the workload..

Sometimes it will be used 2-3 hours for gaming, then a few hours on photoshop and Adobe premiere pro cs, Music software Cubase for making music and sometimes internet browsing & videos and some other working.
actually there are quite a few of us and we all have our own thing going on. It’s not that it’s on constantly all the time but from time to time the PC can remain in use for all the above for about 8-10 hours continually, so that’s why I am asking if the monitors and vj card will over heat?

Actually I am Planning to make up my own desktop I want to get everything that produces top quality results all round and I am willing to spend the cash! I have decided on a few things but I am open to any suggestions based upon your expertise and other things I am just not 100% sure on so again your opinions will be of great help.

I already have the following Hard drive SSD drive, Casing and monitors.

Processor will be I9EX will get it as soon as its launched.
Please suggest a Compatible Motherboard and Power supply .
The video card, I am thinking of getting GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB but again I am open to ideas I want the absolute best! Thanks.

you will be more than fine in this regards, GPU won't overheat and will offer a great gaming and productivity performance, nothing to worry about that, in first I thought it was going to be pushed/stressed heavily, but with what you describe it will be good.

i9 Extreme Processors are already in the market you can buy it right now in the preferred flavor, from the i9 7900X up to the i9 7980XE which it's actually in amazon at 1999$. you can't never go wrong with any of the Asus ROG, Rampage, TUF series of boards...

The power supply I can always recommend one of the EVGA Platinum series.. for that system if overclocking it's in mind I would go with an EVGA P2 1000W one of my favorites high-end PSUs right now.

Wait a minute...if they are side by side, the resolution is only 7680x2160 right? 7680x4320 is a 4 monitor grid.

Correct. OP mistakenly added both horizontal and vertical resolution and combined the two, which is incorrect and would yield 8K resolution.

Hi kirbyrj I want just 2 monitors and they will be side by side ……. Could you kindly explain how you calculated the resolution please? I am a bit confused do I have the wrong calculation?

Hi doubletake sorry I don’t understand what you mean? Also what is “OP”?
“Correct. OP mistakenly added both horizontal and vertical resolution and combined the two, which is incorrect and would yield 8K resolution.”

You're not adding any vertical height, so the 2160 stays the same. All you're doing is adding additional pixels horizontally, so your 3840 doubles to 7680. 7680x4320 is 4x4k monitors in a grid.
