Thank me later... :)

Last 2 times I clicked a random link I got hit by compugoat (goatse), and meatspin. I'll just tell you I don't click random links anymore.

No, I do get it. Always better to err on the side of caution. Since people mentioned me being an older member, very active here since 04 I would hope I got a TINY bit more benefit of the doubt, but I get it.

So I got to space, and now I am just generating probes and stuff, but I only seem to have 20 points in probe trust max, with no apparent way to get more even though I have a ton of Yomi. Am I missing something? Do I just have to wait? There's no clear goal at this point.

Same here, I'm just leaving it run on my PC and going away until it decides to progress. I got space combat when I work up this morning so that's something I guess.

There did seem to be a bit of a lull right then, and then all of a sudden I got a burst of tech, and another resource aside from Yomi to work with. It really turns the tides on the combat. I can't remember if I did anything special, or just waited long enough. I think it's based on your drone count. So, you want a bit on your self-replication (like 3 maybe) then something medium high for combat, and something medium for hazard protection. You can pull points from the factory and drone making, and exploration for a bit, until your numbers start rising, then rebalance after you start getting the new tech. At least I think that's how it played out for me.

Actually combat just randomly showed up (I am assuming based on number of probes? Not really sure) and now there is progress again. Very long lull with no clear objective though.

combat shows up if a certain number of drones die to the rogue drones. what i did was: leave self replication and accident mitigation (not sure what exactly it was called) at a number where your drone count keeps going up and at the same time raise combat and speed. that seemed to keep my drone count fairly high and i won almost all battles. after that, raise your exploration and speed so that counter on the left goes up. which can take a while tbh.

100% universe explored. combat was a bit tough at first but just keep replication and hazard skills up. 29.9 septendecillion left over.

You can round that to 30 by making those last 100 clips it allows after dismantling (assuming you chose Reject)

Thanks. Chose reject after I posted. Was a fun 8 hrs on/off with some breaks in-between. Gotta work just a bit throughout the day!

The really interesting part, at this stage in the game, is realizing that it only took 100 paperclips to make a fully sentient AI that is capable of reducing the entire mass of the universe in it's conquest.

It makes me look at my desk organizer full of paperclips a bit differently now.

Honestly I was just trying to get people to click bait search those two terms on google and be horrified.

:D

You are of course, most welcome. :p

When I first clicked on this link from another site, I clicked it a couple of times, and thought "hmm... this is funny, but kinda stupid..." Then, against my better judgment, kept clicking until I got my first upgrade. Then I just kept going. Probably spent around 7 hours or so from start to finish, half of which was while I should have been working. :D

Jeez, totally forgot I left this running in a window. Spent all my money on production and marketing immediately. Wish I had more time to pay attention to this dumb shit...

I wish there was a way to save...I almost got to the end at work the other day but then had to leave. I use a laptop that I have to take with me so I couldn't just leave it running. Bummer.

I've closed the browser completely, and had it pick back up where I was. I think it stores your progress, unless maybe your caches got cleared or something.

Didn't work that way for me, I tried it at home and it just reset. I have cookies enabled but maybe uBlock was messing with it?

EDIT: Opened it again at work and it looks like it picked back up my progress...yay!

Hm, yet again it seems progress has stalled. I have a ton of everything but no more projects available and a net gain on everything. Just keep bumping processors and memory up but nothing new seems to be happening.

I thought exploration was broken for the longest time. It didn't start to go up until I had about 20 quintillion total probes.

Yep, I really had to boost my probe production to progress.

DISASSEMBLE EVERYTHING, OBTAIN MAXIMUM CLIPS

So is it over after 100% of universe is explored? Nothing seems to be happening. Fun simple little game.
