My iPhone X is being shipped directly from China?

So I got the message that my new iPhone X is coming next week. Click on tracking and it is being shipped directly from China. Is this how it works usually? Not that I have any issue with it.

This doesn’t always happen this way, but I would imagine because of the iPhone X selling out so fast, there’s really no choice. I’ve had iPods in the past ship directly from China and received them overnight.

My iMac got shipped directly from China. Not sure why either. I just figured it was for efficiency, although I wondered about that considering it way 3 day ship.

I’ve had two iPhones shipped to me from China, seems pretty normal to me for early orders.

They probably shipping them out as they make them. Instead waiting weeks to get a entire container shipment read. Have to give apple some credit cause doing it like this is probably costing them a bundle.

Well the part you may not see is how much of the rest of the shipment on the overseas flight is also Apple. I'm sure they're getting a massive discount.

Interestingly, the shipped of my phone is Foxconn. At first, I was like, Foxconn? What did I order..., then oh, it hit me. Will be interesting to see how it goes...

When did you order your iPhone X?

I ordered my phone after midnight of the release, around 12:30am maybe? First phone for me was supposed to deliver next week. It was updated later to show it will be delivered this past Friday. However, it got stuck at custom in Shanghai China for a day and then the same thing at Anchorage Alaska for another day. It arrived in Louisville Kentucky yesterday and has since left. It will be here by Tuesday after all the delay.

For the wife's phone, it was order around 1am as Apple site kept erroring out due to traffic. It was supposed to come the first week of December but has since been updated to arrive before Thanksgiving. However, it did not go through Shanghai but instead went to Incheon South Korea. It cleared custom in 2 days and got to Anchorage in 1 day. It cleared US custom right away and arrived at Louisville on the 17th. It showed that it will be here on Monday the 20th.

Ordered my iPhone X last Tuesday and it arrived Monday. Super fast and painless.

Mine too

Got both phones on the same day. Beautiful phone. Put on a slim case and a glass screen protector right away. Activation does not work with AT&T until we connect using iTunes on a MacBook. Then it took only few minutes and was quite easy. Battery lasts about 2.5 days for me not using it constantly.
