Intel Halts Broadwell-E Intel Core i7 6800K, 6850K, 6900K, 6950X Sales

According to a document published in its Product Change Notification database, Intel will be ending their shipments of Broadwell-E processors, which include the Intel Core i7 6800K, 6850K, 6900K, and 10-core 6950X. The processors will be end-of-life for orders by May 2018.

The only Broadwell-E processor available at my microcenter is a 6950X. They fire saled the LGA2011 processors months ago.

This new scrambled lineup sure has tanked the prices on the broadwell chips.

If you are looking for 10 core/20 thread, you can find e5-2680v2 on ebay for $180 or so....ivy bridge based 10/20.

I kinda did. Picked up a supposedly defective 6950X on CL for ~$250.
Cleaned it up, Prime95ed it, and its now humming along happily at 4.3GHz
