Seasonic announces PRIME Ultra PSUs

Meh. I know seasonic makes some of the best psus. But this isn't worth a premium price over their lower end gold rated units. And including a power supply tester with an extremely reliable power supply just seems like a way to get more of my money.

The link did not work for me.

I pulled up Seasonics website, and i couldn't tell the difference between the normal Prime PSU's and the Prime Ultra PSU's. Aside from the fact that they had the word Ultra in the name.

Still no retail availability, although after my last post I now see there's an entire series of PRIME Ultra's (not just 550W like previously announced -- that was weird.)

Any word on when I can buy one? :)

I bought a Seasonic 850(X-850 Gold I believe) years ago, Used, and it's still in my system after many system alterations(New CPUs, Mobos, GPUs, etc.). It's just so reliable and so powerful that I've never needed to upgrade it. Any future PSU upgrades to me will ALWAYS be Seasonic,
 
Still using those junk "fancy name" sleeve bearing fans.
I will CONTINUE to ignore Seasonic past the X series for this reason.
