Nvidia says Its Coming........

It says Titan on the card in the teaser, so I'm guessing it's a new Titan announcement. This is what I've been waiting for. My Pitan X has been feeling long in the tooth.

Perhaps Nvidia decided that "Collector's Edition" sounds better than "Founder's Edition". Just make a killer graphics card, and sell it. I think that buzzwords are ridiculous.

Heh, in that case, they should use something like "Titan XL" or "Titan-V" (assuming that it's Volta), instead of Titan X Collector's Edition ... you get the picture.

Of course, this is the company that did GTX Titan X, Titan X, Titan Xp (not to speak of Titan, Titan Black, and Titan Z) ...
 
I'd be so happy to see Volta (if it performs the way it should) but I doubt it, nVidia has a track record of consistency for product launches, Volta would fit in Spring 2018.

I like graphics cards for their performance and features. Only reason I've ever "collected" them was because I used them too long and couldn't be bothered to sell the thing I bought for $500+ for like $75+shipping.
 
RGB lighting on a Reference card? It's going to be about $1,200 I hardly played any games on my 1080TI
 
I doubt Volta is here already.


I'm thinking they are giving the Titan Xp one last hurrah makeover, with frag harder lights and maybe a slightly increased stock clock.

When a Volta Titan comes out it will be on my list. My Pascal Titan X is just not fast enough for 4k.

"Titan-V" for the Volta Titan would be a pretty nice name for it.
 
This card will be a Titan X Pascal Card Called the Collectors Edition. It will have special Green lighting on the Fans and there may even be a surprise with the Vram. HBM2 (possibly) but definitely Much faster than the current stock Gddr 5X speeds currently on the Titan X Pascal if they go GDDR 5X again. Faster Boost Clocks on the GPU too. This card will bitch Slap 4k and take 5K Monitors Lunch Money.

At least when buying at the high end you aren't ridiculously pissed off at all the cryptominers. Got my 1080 Ti without issue, at MSRP, with a game bundle... good luck doing that on mid-range stuff.
 
I'm wanting a new gpu that can drive my three 1440p monitors in surround games. 1080's in SLI was disappointing, and I didn't think the different between the 1080 and the 1080Ti/TitanX was worth the money tbh.
 
I figure we would get Volta early 2018. Going to wait for the Ti version for $500 a

If this just a RBG version of Titan xp then fu Nvidia. They will probably add $300 to the price tag too.
 
Probably a Volta Titan. $999 just in time for the holidays. Makes sense to me.

You know, even though I despise the practice, NVIDIA may be better off copying Apple's practice (if they could do it without getting sued) of simply naming the Titan after the year it was introduced. Titan 2016, Titan 2017, etc. It would be less confusing than the current naming scheme they employ.
 
we've barely scratched the surface for 1080ti and squeezed everything out of it.

More emphasis should be going to mGPU. It will be a while until single GPU performance goes up this much to pack SLI into single board (usually around 2 generations at least).

If they could fix all of the problems with mGPU, I'd agree with you. But it seems like they are choosing more and more to move away from that.
 
Yeah no I'll stick to the Vega 56 and it's massive mining profit with Cryptonight for way less

Think about this everyone. . . When has Nvidia EVER released a new GPU Architecture, starting with their Titan Card. We will most definitely get a 1180/1170 variant and wait a few months - half a year before we get to see a Titan Volta.

Plus to question my crystal ball is Futile. ;)

Of course it's not volta, the thought of nvidia launching a new architecture for consumer GPUs starting with a titan series card is absurd.

I'm actually hoping you are right. I'm in the midst of The Great Server Storage Upgrade of 2017, and I can't afford to buy $4,300 worth of hard drives AND a Titan (plus water block) at the same time :p

The thing with Titans is that they are only worth it if you buy them right at release, to get as much time out of them as possible. If you dally, the price stays the same, but you get less and less time out of them until something cheaper comes out that catches up. So, it's either "buy at launch" or "don't buy at all".

Plus the yields for the big chips are always worse, making the price higher. It's basically a P100 now without double precision hardware and HBM2, but still has all the cores, and is 1/5 the cost.
