A mobile carrier in the UK has leaked a product page for the Razer Phone: the handset will sport a 120Hz 5.72" IGZO display, as well as 8GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a giant 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0+, and THX-certified dual front-facing speakers with Dolby ATMOS.

The dual camera setup out back consists of a 12MP f/1.75 wide-angle sensor and a 13MP f/2.6 zoom unit. There's also something called "4G Super-Voice" listed, which appears to be some sort of tech that prevents dead zones. It looks like the phone will run a stock-ish version of Android, given the clean-looking lock screen. Oh, and check out that 13:37 Easter egg in the potatocam photo. Razer has a sense of humor.

It'll be interesting to see if anyone carries this in Ireland
I fucking doubt it.

And also...why.....OMG I can play Candy Crush on a blah blah blah screen

I just can't see a huge market for this

The market for military grade pro gaming-anything must be pretty healthy. Razer is going to survive just fine. How about a sunglasses line of rebranded stylish junk?

it can have a 4000ma battery but how long does said battery last? How many iterations of support we the user get? Does this support Phone to Desktop sharing like the Samsung phones do?

This is like nintendo making a cell phone. I can't see how this device will do anything besides crash and burn like amazon's phones did. Specs be damned, if there is no backing from Razer you are throwing your $1000 in the dumpster fire.

Why $1000? Look at the specs, there's no way that thing isn't gonna cost a pretty penny.

Wait where are the highly annoying RGB Lights? Will the phone light up in 120 million colors when you get a phone call? :ROFLMAO:

its funny nowadays with the feature lists on new phones. super high end displays.. cameras and such, but really its like dropping a porsche engine into a VW bug

i mean really.. a 120hz high resolution screen.. thats 5 inches big.. well let me watch some baseball on that !!

hahaha

Probably about as long as most other Snapdragon 835 handsets, given that this is gonna have a bunch of extra shit running behind the scenes.

If the bootloader is unlocked, I can see it going on for a LONG time on XDA. As far as first party support, they usually keep cranking out drivers for devices for about 3 years.

Sadly, you're probably right. The specs are amazing but this is niche as fuck.[/QUOTE]

Buying a phone from a company that literally has worse quality control than cheap Chinese no name brands seems like a bad idea, regardless of how good the specs are.

Was going to get the Note 8, now I might wait to see whats in store, wouldnt mind a cleanish android and those specs.

Wish front facing speakers was the standard.

It's based on the Nextbin Robin smartphone chassis which has dual front facing speakers so, odds are pretty good that's going to be exactly what this Razer phone will have too.

Prediction:

Razer launches official announcement, focuses on its completely generic flagship specs, Razer exclusive bloatware, and revolutionary 120Hz screen that only matters to Razer's exclusive apps/games

Phone ships with Nougat

Razer promises "fast updates" with no actual support commitment (LOL Motorola)

Verizon exclusive in the U.S.

Nobody gives a shit

Razer stops sales and drops all software support after 6 months

120hz why?

big forehead and chin, why?

THX and dolby are just diluting their image with these toy speakers that sound like shit.

THX used to mean booming sound. Now they stick their badge on these dinky speakers.
