So... I decided to dust out my pc case a couple months ago... and I admit it, I had been drinking a bit before.. so today was double checking temps and everything and didn't like what I was seeing 80+ when running prime (see pic before /after)

anyways opened pc up and discovered this...OOOPS // 2nd imaged fixed.. and realtemp before left after right..

don't work on pc after drinking and double check before closing case... HILARIOUS however.. anyone know much about TT TG-7 thermal paste btw as while i was at it I pulled the hyper 212 and used this TG-7 paste because it is what I got at fry's yesterday..because it was $5
 
LOL, makes me wonder how drunk you were actually.

Might be a fun experiment though to watch, someone assembling a whole PC while very drunk..... poor socket pins and the TIM application might be a bit challenging *shrugs*

One time I did a timed PC teardown and build challenge at a LAN. I had to fully strip a PC case (back in the day where /everything/ was screwed in) and then re-assemble a working PC.

No powertools allowed.

I wish I could remember the time it took me, but I'm pretty sure it was under 30 minutes round trip.
 
Oh, I believe its legit! When I was new to building, I used to sit and stare soberly for hours on how to configure the fans. Still do!
 
Hahaha this is great... I guess thanks for testing the stacked fan config anyways?
 
Was one blowing and one sucking? i.e. opposite direction? If they were both blowing towards the back of the PC, I wouldn't think the difference would be THAT bad...

All in all, I also wonder "how" drunk you were...
 
When I clean out my fans I pull the graphics card to blow out the heatsink. Last time I did it when I plugged it back in I got a black screen, opened the case and realized I didn't put the video card back in. I left it sitting out in the garage. Drinking would have been a good excuse but I was 100% sober lol
 
I honestly laughed. I've been that drunk before where i see myself doing this... But never would attempt to build a PC that drunk lol. The thought of bent cpu pins scares me.
