My employer just tossed an old Dell server. 16 hot-swap bays on the front, 16-port LSI 64-bit PCI-X controller card, Opteron 2120, 8 GB RAM, 40GB SSD for the OS, and numerous 2, 3, and 4TB HDD's totaling 38 TB. I installed a CLI-only version of Ubuntu and accessing via SSH. I came across burstcoin a few months ago and would like some opinions of it and if this unit would function well.

If you have 38TB for free, absolutely use it to mine Burst.

Burst is on the $bottom, not profitable at all, but who cares. It’s a good coin and will come back hard. If you don’t care about electrical cost, not a big deal, mine away!

Use the box to earn other income while it mines. I make a couple bucks a day just streaming videos for points that convert to PayPal and eGift cards. I also do distributed computing for various causes on the same hardware. (yeah I could mine another altcoin but I like feeling like I'm helping the world.)
