New system - no video - Asus Prime B350 Plus / 1700x / 1070

Building a new system for a friend and can't get any video output to configure/troubleshoot...

ASUS Prime B350 Plus
Ryzen 1700x
Asus GTX 1070 Dual 8GB
Corsair DDR4 2400 32GB (2x16)

Beeper gives me one beep, so I think it's POSTing fine.

Clear CMOS jumper and pulling the battery didn't fix it.

This mobo doesn't appear to have the ability to update the BIOS without a monitor/mouse/keyboard, unless I'm missing something not in the manual.

Going to try my working 1030 card in case the GPU is DOA...

Any other tips?

I also try resetting the mem and going with just one dimm to see if that gets it to post. If not i take it all apart just
to make sure its not some weird grounding issue.

Generally for me issues like this are resolved with playing around with the memory.

Fixed!

I switch to DP instead of HDMI and got signal. Everything is working fine on DP. I'll have to recheck that HDMI port later though.

Odd, the HDMI port works fine now too. Glad I got it working, but hate when there isn't a clear problem and solution.

reading your post helped me fix this exact same issue with the same motherboard! as soon as I OC past 3.8ghz, i get no display port output, but if i switch to dvi connection all is fine. so ill post with dvi, go into bios, do nothing other then "SAVE and EXIT" shut down pc, remove dvi connection, switch back to DP, and all is fine. Prior to reading this post, i had motherboard all boxed up and ready for return, but since i read this post, i did a quick re-assembly, and did what you said, and all is fine now. THis is certainly on the top 10 list of super strange issues that ive encountered building pc's for 20years. Thanks for your post, it helped me greatly, and saved a perfectly fine motherboard from being rma'd!
