Anyone playing Sunless Sea?

I played it, someone on here was giving away the code so I nabbed it, fun little game but I didn't see much replay value in it after I was done, your mileage may vary

I play it off and on. I like the feel off it. Very Lovecraftian. However, I have to be in the right mood to play it. There's a lot of reading, kinda like a JRPG. It's pretty fun though.

Friends I didn't know about this game can you suggest me about this game is it a really awesome game? and what configuration needs to play this game?

I played it on a free weekend and thought that it was boring and overhyped. For anyone that liked it, there's a sequel called Sunless Skies.

Thinking of getting it, so I'm curious

It is definitely a "Halloween Season" title, where atmosphere and storytelling are paramount. With a Lovecraftian Steampunk aesthetic as I said before the story - much of which you forge through your decisions - is the focal point, delivered in well worded text. For those who don't like to read and just want to shoot things, there are better titles. Artistically it matches the text well , making even a top down "antique chart" view of your travels seem spooky and foreboding. It has some rogue-like elements in that you can have a given sailor die, retire etc... and start again, handing down your treasure, secrets and some other content. There are many mechanics in play some of which handled in rogue/RPG style and others (such as combat) taking place in a more active sense. The relatively slow pace fits the atmosphere and makes tactical decisions in combat (or just survival!) weighty as it should. There is an expansion, "Zubmariner" which opens up lots of new content as you don't just sail atop the "Zee" but can dive under it in "zubmarines", taking you even closer to riches and occult knowledge, but also to where even greater horrors lurk in the inky depths. There is a sigificant amount of replay value, at least until you've searched out not only the "core" story to its conclusion, but the side stories and secrets. These games aren't for everyone (especially if you don't like RPGs with a lot of text) but if its your type then it is a well crafted, atmospheric entry that bridges a few genres.

There are versions of Win, Mac, and Linux and I can confirm the performance on Linux last I checked worked very well. Thanks for reminding me of the title - I should play it again, and look into Sunless Skies. I ancipate that playing Sunless Sea will give players more to enjoy from the lore of Sunless Skies, much in the same way that Fallen London, the first title from the developer and a browser game, started to shape the world of Sunless Sea.
