The Lian Li Gallery

So I have an old A04 that I've replaced and put my old hardware into my PC-O8. It looks hilariously small in a case of this size.. I don't even have enough fan headers on the board to run half of these lol

Incoming iPhone pics..

Skylake build is incoming though, stay tuned!

this is the best looking case in the same way is the most unuseful one.
I love this case, wonderful, cool, good default lighting, tempered glass, but is unuseful.

It have 5 fans on the HDD bay area, no possibility to mount front fans on the GPU/CPU side, airflow must be terrible in that way.
it is a big case but it doesn't support a 280mm rad.

I find it a shame for lian li. cool but unuseful.

It actually supports upto a 360mm rad, those three fans on the front are where you mount the rad and there is also a passthrough to run tubing.

Here's the site page on Lian-Li's website for this case, it's really just mean't for water cooling

Link.

a case that big should support rads all over the case.
no front fan for CPUs and GPUs, imho it is a worthless case.

I'm not going to argue, but you clearly didn't look at the case specs, its supports up to 3 radiators..

1x120mm Rad on HW side.
1x240mm Rad on HW side.

1x360mm Rad on power side.

THIS CASE WAS BUILT FOR WATERCOOLING.

Before posting again, please look at the link I posted earlier, it shows the ENTIRE layout of the case and how it is supposed to be used.

hardware canucks says that there is few room for rads and it is difficult to put big rads.
they saied that they were not able to fit a 360mm rad in the 360mm hole.

same was for the 240mm, they saied that once fitted the H100 fitting the small rad of the GTX980 Ti from MSI was challenging.
and you call this a case built for watercooling?

what about GPUs?
What happen if I put two open air GPUs on that case? what if I tri way sli?
no front fans fro GPUs.

the case is big but it doesn't gives good options.

I just recently got one of my dream cases. A VoodooPC Omen.
xrhsdf.jpg

It needs a little fixing up. Unfortunately the previous owner removed the upper lighting assembly for the symbol on the top of the case and replaced it with a fan. Now I need to rebuild the upper part of the case. It is proving difficult to find pics of this area on the net. Does anyone on here that owns one of these cases have any pictures of the top of the inside of the case? Not really sure what this part of the case looked like. Any help would be appreciated.

Got my Lian Li A61-WX together. I think the case is VERY sexy. I have a few gripes/issues though.

First off I feel like the front filter is inferior the holes are pretty big. I have no idea if I can find a better replacement or what. I was looking at a DEMCI Filter, but I think the magnetic strip is too wide. I'm willing to take suggestions for figuring out a better filter.

The front panel I feel doesn't allow enough air in. I am coming from a 9F where the front is wide open and my Gentle typhoons pulled in a ton of air. Now they are very weak and that's why I put the fans up top to exhaust the air to try and pull more air up and out. My 390x seems ok for now in this colder weather.

Lian Li includes an "extra fan mount" that you can put in the 5.25" bay. It has a BETTER FILTER and I tried fitting this to the front of the case but it wouldn't fit properly. I may have to modify something. Anyway, this may help my air flow issue. See it here

The SSD mount on the back is great, but is made for SATA power cables that aren't 90* with the cable on the bottom. It's made for SATA power cables that are straight. I had to create a little stand off for the SSD to fit my power cable so it doesn't bend the connector.

On with the pics!

Nothing too groundbreaking here, but I really like how it turned out. It's a small footprint home server.

did you pay extra for the backplane or did it come with the case?

I will just repost this straight from the 2016 case gallery.
New rig up and running. Need to make a change to the water loop once new fittings come in. Other than that it's running great.

Pretty crappy pics I know (I blame the camera heh), did a slight refresh on our home server from 1155 to 1150 (i3 to Pentium). Got a better board with a full complement of SATA3 ports and a socket upgrade for free, not complaining. Had to reorganize some cables in my cramped Lian Li PC-A04 case with absolutely no place to hide cables - partly due to how I configured the hard drive cages for drive suspension and less obstruction to incoming air. All in all, the third rebuild for it!

I wanted that case so bad. But the cable management made me think otherwise. You did a great job though.

Cable management is bad indeed, no holes in mobo tray (only one small for power/hdd led cables). Also there is very little room so it wouldn't matter.

Beautiful case! I cant decide between this or the pc Q-35....since I cant find a reasonable priced Q-35, i will probably end up with this. Is it easy to remove the hard drive? Do you just pull it out or do you need to disconnect the sata/power cable in the back before pulling it out? Thanks.

Answered your PM, but for the sake of everyone else: The HDDs connect to a back plane so you can just pull the drives out, no need to disconnect anything.

This is so nice to me. Where did you get this? I love that hard drive idea. If this had a PSU shroud it might be the ultimate package for me.

I genuinely have no idea where to find Lian Li cases like this. The ones I've seen for sale on newegg and such aren't my favorite

This one is on newegg for $214 or so. I'm Trying to get rid of mine though.

My Q33 has plastic clips that hold the side panels. One of the clips fell inside the front panel, in the gap between the front and the panel that holds HDs. I assume that the inner panel has to come off to retrieve the loose clip. Does anybody have photos of the front panel disassembled?

I can't find any close up pics but it looks riveted on. Might have to try and fish it out with something thin or just pop the rivets out and then reattach it when you're done.. Have you worked with rivets before?

Rivets? Never. It looks attached with screws, I think I may screw up the power button if I remove the inner panel.

Ah, well you've got a better view of it than me :p but if it is riveted on they're pretty easy to work with. Drill it out, do your business, then pop a new one in with a rivet tool. I've got one almost identical to this one. I've used it on LL A05s to route the power cable behind the mobo tray.

Thank you. The machine is built so I can't go drilling. I' hoping I can remove the USB port assembly only, I just don't know what's behind there.

Dang, those are some sweet ass cases. They don't make em like that anymore. Quality.

That red inspired me, so here's some more.

This is my Q11, i7-6700, no plumbing, two photos, front view and guttyworks. My Q33 is here, and A17 is several pages back.
