Just a heads up, some asshat from the russian federation tried to hijack my origin account this morning. Thankfully I caught the email change password pretty quickly and reverted the change (and changed my password) but I still have to wait until their help center is open for calls to fix the new security questions and change my user name back. I have noticed both times I've had an account hacked it's been during a holiday weekend in the US - last time was a few years ago during Thanksgiving, I was young and dumb and didn't have MFA on ANY accounts, so when they got my gmail they got EVERYTHING - all my banks, paypal, steam, etc. A serious nightmare considering all the call centers were closed for the holiday. On the plus side Origin is literally the ONLY account I've got left without MFA or an absurdly long password, so it's my own damn fault.

TLDR: go check your accounts, if you don't already have MFA enabled DO IT.

They got me a year or so ago...fuckers....same shit, it was the Russians..:)

Some Russian asshole got a hold of my Ubisoft account.
He played The Division leveled up a character to max level and then got some of the best gear possible.
He didn't touch my characters though.

But the idiot changed my name to his, so I looked him up on Russian Facebook site (vk.com) and told him to go fuck himself.

Well he tried to get it back and requested a password reset. I created a throwaway account and sent him the same email text (obviously changed the totp) and set the url for the reset password to meatspin... I hope he clicks it.

Same thing happened to me a few months back...got it recovered with EA support.

Why is it always the Russians. Those bastards are batshit crazy.

They hacked my Sony PSN account just last week. I tried to login and couldn't. Contacted Sony support and they told me my account was disabled. They tried to purchase something on PSN, and Sony immediately blocked it.

Goodamn Russian bastards. (Trump's friends).

this is why using the same emails / password for everything is bad. they hack one source and they get into all sources.

well another thing that is bad is if they got your email password than they could change all your account with forget password.

Mine was hacked a while back, just to get a free physical copy of Crysis!

It was actually really easy to get it back.
