NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti to Launch in October

I was just joking when Volta comes out everyone that comes out will be junk. Unless the Nvidia drivers are all zig zags.

Does the target market for a 1070 Ti know what Volta is?
Sure, because the target market won't be getting a Volta part at the same pricepoint for 9+ months. And they sure as shit aren't getting the same performance-per-pricepoint from Vega, or AMD anything.

1070Ti is just Jen-Hsun smacking Vega with a 2x4 without putting down his sandwich.

Hope it comes in at a nice price point or moves the price down on the non-ti.
The 290x is just too hot and power hungry to keep quiet in my mini-ITX case.

Im building a new PC around the 8700K, and am struggling with the graphcis cards. I cannot justify buying a $500+ card that is 18 months old. The 1070TI might give me something to buy atleast. Its still older tech, but $400 is better than $500.

IMO it's simple to figure out how much a used GPU should cost. EVGA GTX 1070 FTW has 3 year warranty (to original buyer, serial # date of MFG for all others after that). So $400 (price it was before mining craze hit) divided by 3 is $133 per year. If card has two years left on the warranty I'll pay $270, $300 max, $325 considering the mining craze thing that's been over for how may months now?. Pay more than that and IMO you're getting ripped off unless you couldn't care less about card failure (and it seems quite a few don't care ... until the card fails and then it seems they are the one's who whine loudest in forums).
