Intel Corporation today announced that the company’s former CEO Paul Otellini passed away Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at the age of 66: Otellini became Intel’s fifth chief executive officer in 2005. Under his leadership the company made important strategic, technological and financial gains.

From 1990 to 2002, he held various positions at Intel, including executive vice president and general manager of the Intel Architecture Group, responsible for the company’s microprocessor and chipset businesses and strategies for desktop, mobile and enterprise computing, as well as executive vice president and general manager of the Sales and Marketing Group. Otellini also served as chief operating officer from 2002 to 2005.

Another, same age. That's pretty young.

Why the hell does death come in pairs... or in threes. Tom Petty, now Paul Otellini. Damn.... 2017 is another one of those years for icons I guess. :/

To be honest, I thought Tom Petty was a lot older, he looked 66 15 years ago. You gotta take of yourself.

Heroin and Coke are a real !@#$@# to the heart. (Tom Petty was said to use Heroin)

Ortelli though, I'm surprised. That is young. As it was in his sleep, that is unexpected. He certainly doesn't have the key markers of being a drug user. Heredity maybe?

BREAKING NEWS: People die. NEXT UP, ON FOX: When People Die!

Not trying to make a joke or anything but, people do actually die, folks. As for the "death in threes" thing, I think someone just kinda noticed a long time ago when 3 people died and suddenly decided to group it together and once that happens anytime 3 people die in short periods of time they automagically get grouped together. Same principle as when you think of some food item you then start 'suddenly' seeing ads for it all over the place on TV, in print ads, billboards, etc. Think of a particular car, wham, suddenly you notice it everywhere you go, and so on.

Mindset, more than anything else.

Maybe being CEO is so stressful that it robs you of decades.

Hopefully he got to enjoy his riches.

Life is to short to work work work work work.

Riches mean nothing. Leaving behind people you affected in a positive way and with good memories is everything.

Yeah, life is incredibly short, isn't it. Hopefully one day we will have the tech to live much longer
