World of Warships Enters Open Beta!

Does the fuse delay captains skill help the upper Tier (8 and above) Brittish cruisers? Do you you have to include the 3 point option to off-set the fire chance loss ?

I'm digging these things. Set someone on fire. Wait for them to put it out, then hit them again. Sit back and watch the counter go on and on and on an on :)

Do that to 3 or 4 ships and you got some pretty serious damage racking up quickly.

I've also started single-firing too instead of all guns at once. This lets me 'spread the love' around if I get fires started :)

Fuse delay/IFHE is HE only. The Belfast benefits greatly from it, though.

IFHE gives the 457mm Conqueror 148.53mm of HE shell penetration at any range, lol.

In the 300k match, we Ean a kurfurst and double conqueror division. 600k between the three of us.

This is nowhere near my worst loss in the last week but it's annoying as fuck nonetheless. LT_JFK, for those of you who don't know, has 18,000 games played. He's fucking terrible. He got quad cit off the map at the start because he went to B on Loop at the start of the match, turned away once he saw the inevitable red blob ahead of him and complained when he got nuked: "I can understand 1 or 2 cits but not 4!" You've got to be kidding. If you're in a position to take one citadel hit then you can get the rest of your health taken away by many more.

So I picked a fight with a Tirpitz and a Bismarck, both full secondary builds and kept railing away with AP on them for nice, chunky damage including a pair of 25-30k salvos or something without citadels (my only cit was a 16k HE cit salvo against a Chappy, hah.) This also explains why I took 534 shell hits. That and the Minotaur at the end, of course. The Minotaur that I would have been able to nuke if the Missouri on my team that refused to be closer than 15km to an enemy chose to help at any point. No, instead stayed in the back as we lost more of our team not doing a goddamn thing with his guns or radar. Until the end, of course, when he unsurprisingly went around a blind corner (blind...in a Missouri---he didn't use radar) and got dev struck like the ass jackal that he was.

I dodged the Shima's skill wall but had nothing left to fight with at that point as the Minotaur was ahead of me but the Shima on my right flank and my guns reloading. Could have won it with just the tiniest bit of effort from the shittiest players I've ever encountered in a multiplayer game. But that's how this goes now.
 
So I got banned for 7 days today, for cheating even though I wasn't. I do use Aslain's mods for a few things but I thought they were approved.

Did any one else get banned?

Loads of people got banned. Looks like some combination of aslains, sweetfx, reshade or proships mods. No biggie, Im sure WG will sort things out.

Time to play something else I guess.

The actual cause doesn't seem to be know yet, there are reports of people with completely stock clients that got banned and people with alt accounts on the same machine that didn't get banned.

lol i love how people always say some one is cheating instead of admitting their completely trash at the game.. anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together would know not to fight a neptune in a floating skyscraper of a destroyer.
 
Got Yamamoto tonight. Would have been nice to get a First Blood or obviously a Kraken in the subsequent matches but noooooo, of course not. I have him in my Zao with the same exact build as my previous captain (AFT/MAA/CE)

I'll say that the colored tracers are perfect. Always visible in any situation.

You guys see flamu absolutely go ballistic on zoup on reddit? I get it, zoup saying don't nerf the conqueror yet is kinda bonkers, but flamu attacked him like the scumbag he is.

I don't think zoup is wrong. The conqueror shouldn't be nerfed yet. Personally I say this because WG always fucks things up, and if your going to nerf a T10, it's gotta be done right.

But how flamu responded blows my mind. The guy is a toxic cunt. The number of times he has called people gags or told people they should be aborted....and this guy is the face of Warships CC?

Nope, I just checked and didn't find anything. Can't say I'm surprised, though. And while I do think the Conqueror needs a lot of work the problem isn't simply the Conqueror but the entire line. You can't make a change to just one ship because just one ship isn't the problem and just one mechanic isn't the problem. Unfortunately changes like that take time but they could have oh, I dunno, not released them like this in the first place?

And don't get me wrong, I've got my fair share of toxicity to throw around but I'm not a CC. When I was a Supertester I changed a fair bit of how I interacted with others but as a CC it's absolutely ridiculous what this guy gets away with simply because WG is afraid of the backlash of dropping his ass. At what point do they do something? And even when they do the reaction will still be "what the fuck took so long?"

But it's 3k away in the vid. How well does that work at 6K? ('cuz I can't imagine a DD that would smoke up that close) Personally, I don't just park in smoke.

I'm referring to Cruisers (British), I've been getting erased in my Neptune on a regular basis, like a good 30-40 second after I went dark, so it's not that someone shoot right after I smoked up.

anyway, it looks easy as hell to me, move the X until you're over the last known position of the ship before it went dark. adjust slightly if you think they moved back or forward

It's pretty easy to nuke the Neptune and mino in smoke if they're even slightly broadside since both ships have a lot of mass above the water line. But it's pretty hard to prove if some ones cheating or just lucky.
 
got banned from the wows reddit. someone posted a video of flamu exploding on stream and i commented several times about how he is brutally toxic. got downright attacked by his fanbois, still getting the DMs. I didnt say anything half as aggressive. but no, cant say shit about lord flamu.

Yes it is, I agree I have done it my self as well, however, the frequency in which it has been happening is what had me wondering.

It's not every game that you run into someone that has Business's aptitude for blind shots, so it when it happens 4 times in 4 games, in some cases, I didn't even have a target and was just providing AA. I start to wonder.
