That $399.99 price tag though...!

2 m.2's! quad channel RAM! Type C! Wifi! That's a pretty jam-packed board. Even if the RAM is SODIMM. Dual Gigabit Ethernet too. Geez. The daughterboard looks like it may interfere with some coolers though...?

See that daughterboard directly behind the dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, that has a THIRD M.2 slot...

But, Intel says you gotta use all Intel M.2s if you want to do RAID 0 with those three M.2 slots, and pay for a USB dongle if you want RAID 1, 5, or 10...

Between the two daughterboards & the four SO-DIMM slots, the Keep Out Area is totally hemmed in...

I would say AIO or custom loop water cooling is the way to go with this mobo...

Hopefully we will see some of the Itx with the newest chipsets from day one...

Dunno about "day 1" (I doubt it for availability) but asus and asrock have already announced their "launch" Z370 boards. Asus has a mid-range strix itx (did not see the flagship impact series with risers etc) while asrock has a mid-range and their flagship with thunderbolt very similar to the Z270 version.

I'd love to see more X299 itx designs even though its got to be a bitch to solve the layout. Something with multiple thunderbolt ports wired to the cpu would be really neat for a super portable real workstation build.
