Hot or ...? Samsung 960 EVO 1TB $339.99

Damn. Hope this deal sticks around a bit. I get paid Wednesday.

Looks like a great deal to me:

A deal so nice, I posted it twice...then locked my duplicate thread.

This is almost definitely going to get bulk bought and resold if Amazon and Newegg don't match it. I'm almost tempted to bite myself and just hold onto it for my next build as a main boot drive, since all I could do with it now is put it in a PCIe adapter and complete waste its potential on a Z68 board @ PCI 2.0 speeds as a glorified Steam drive, since I can't get it to boot without major BIOS hacking.

Hmm they cancelled my order. Still showing as in stock though weird. I tried ordering it again.

edit yeah cancelled again... oh well. Hopefully Newegg/Amazon have a similar sale.

You tempted me. I figure $100 less (after shipping) than the current Amazon price is a pretty damn good deal, and if the NAND shortage continues into 2018...

Edit

My order got canceled too :(

Cancelled my order too, they seem to have changed it to an in-store only sale. Pretty shitty but I really shouldn't have been spending the money :p

It was 'in-store only' for me when I spotted it this morning, so not sure when they switched it to internet sales and then switched it back.

You have to go to the store select and switch to online webstore. Still showing available for delivery for me even though I had my order cancelled.

They're evidently canceling orders (no word on all or if those which have already been processed are fine) and the listing for the 1TB is off their website, both in local and in the 'web store.'

I was at the closest microcenter which is 4 hours away for me this weekend, wish I would have looked, I just bought a motherboard that has a M.2 Slot.

It's entirely possible that this wasn't a price mistake - but rather some 'enterprising assholes' decided they were going to sell these for $399 on eBay and still undercut Amazon and Newegg.

Anyone have any info on the shortage, when they might get production up enough to impact supply and price? Looking to put a build together in the spring, and I'm hoping they might have increased production by then.

There is a non-zero chance that Micro Center might get more of these in on Monday or Tuesday, but I somehow doubt they'll be $339 next time.

I wound up with 2 from MC in the St. Louis area. The computer said 10+ when saw this post (thanks!), 9 when I headed there, and 5 when I left with mine. I'm sure they're gone by now.

They rang up this price, no issues.. other than my wife not understanding how $700 worth of hard drives is a good deal. Left Micro Center to immediately spend more on dinner than I saved on the drives. Oh well.

Got one today, reserved it back on Friday. $319.99 after I showed my receipt with recent Mobo purchase.

So I got one all setup and I'm pleased. My second ASUS Z270 Hero M.2 slot is fubar b/c the mount point for the screw popped off the board when mounting a drive. It's BS too b/c I was just using the little bitty screw bit with my bare fingers.

Any ideas on mounting a M.2 drive without the normal way to hold it down?

Edit: posing in storage section.
