Moving from an MX518 I’m looking for an ergonomic right-handed mouse that will work with palm grip for browsing and claw grip for gaming. The following four mice all have similar size, shape, buttons, sensors and cost (in China). As I can’t try these out before buying I will base my choice on reviews, specifically looking at reviewer’s concerns. One area that is of concern for web browsing is that the scroll wheel and thumb buttons appear not to have been prioritised in the design.

Hand size: 19.5cm x 10.5cm

It seems that I should consider these options based on my own:

Logitech G403 http://www.rocketjumpninja.com/logitech-g403-review/
• Sensor: 3366 Optical (Extremely Good)
• Weight: 90g wired, 106g wireless
• Buttons: Omron Switches
• Size: Large
• Game Types: FPS, MOBA and RTS

• Concerns: unsatisfying thumb buttons, braided cable, high palm

Razer DeathAdder Elite http://www.rocketjumpninja.com/razer-deathadder-elite-review/
• Sensor: Optical (Extremely Good)
• Weight: 98g
• Buttons: Razer Mechanical Switches
• Size: Large
• Game Types: FPS, MOBA and RTS

• Concerns: Lacks on-board memory, requires proprietary software

SteelSeries Rival 310 http://www.rocketjumpninja.com/steelseries-rival-310-review/
• Sensor: 3360 Optical (Extremely Good)
• Weight: 92g
• Buttons: Omron Switches
• Size: ML-Large
• Game Types: FPS, MOBA and RTS

• Concerns: buttons not the best

Zowie EC2-A http://www.rocketjumpninja.com/zowie-ec2-a-review/
• Sensor: 3310 Optical (Very Good)
• Weight: 95g without cable
• Buttons: Huano Switches
• Size: Medium
• Game Types: FPS

• Concerns: general complaints regarding build quality

The Razer software isnt that bad to be honest. At least I dont think its that bad. I am still using my 2013 naga for all my gaming FPS, MOBA, MMO and it works great. It also comes with multiple grip strips for the side. The Razer products all have great mouse scrolls so if you find yourself using that for macros, I would suggest that.

Mouse I use but 2014 ver: https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Ergonomic-Gaming-Mouse-RZ01-01040100-R3U1

recently my ~7 years old DeathAdder 3.5G started to die so I got the DeathAdder Elite just because I wanted something as close as possible to my old mouse.

the plan worked, everything is exactly the same, sensor feels a little better, the new feet moves smoother, the wheel is better for weapon switching. I downloaded but didn't install the software, the default speed is fast for me so I lowered it a notch, its a tad slower than the 3,5G default speed but I think it's a chance for me to get used to a little slower speed which I guess should improve my aiming.

it's a great mouse but before I got the Elite I tried few old mice that I bought long ago and didn't really use. one of them is the Zowie AM, tbh it felt more accurate and predictable and easier to move around than both DeathAdder's, not a big deal for me but the surface and left/right buttons felt better.
but it has a horrible wheel, it's so bad I think I may have gotten a defective unit.
and I'm not sure how to describe this but maybe because it's thinner and shorter and doesn't have a curve where I place my thumb, or something related to it's weight distribution... but it's harder to keep it steady, it's like sliding on ice, which make it harder to lead targets.

I'm happy with the DAE but I might try one of the Zowie EC/FK models in the future.

You should add Mionix castor to your list. I've had almost every mouse every made, and this one is by far my favorite (to the point that I haven't even dabbled in looking at new mice for about 9 months, which is a world record for me).
