Anybody else with older iOS devices suddenly get slower in the last two weeks?

i noticed in the past two weeks many different apps have started slowing down to a crawl on my iPhone 6 Plus, videos/pictures won't load, apps take 15-30 seconds to open/register a tap. I've confirmed with 2 other people same situation, although we're all ATT, it's the same problem on cell data or wifi.

I haven't checked my iPad 3 lately, but my iPhone SE runs the same. Mine is basically a 6S in a 5S body so not as old as your 6 Plus.
I am on Sprint as well, and they are the slowest of the main providers in my area.

Plot twist: OP lives in Key West.

lol You say that, but I live in south florida and barely have service in areas I did pre-storm. But honestly my iPhone 6s has been fine even after upgrading to iOS11. Even my 5s on iOS 11 is fine.

The performance of my old 6+ had been declining for a while, not suddenly. I chalk it up to normal wear and the 6’s one gig of ram. I put medium high level use on that thing everyday for almost two years. Apps got bigger and more demanding. It was time to retire it.

6plus slow slow. I reset it and it’s marginally better. I’ll click on the messages (text) and it’ll take almost 10 seconds to load.

Reg 6, was running ok but have noticed everything opening much slower. This was shortly after a factory reset too.

I’m going to reset a lot more tonight. It’s particularly slow today.

6s plus working ok. Slight stutter every now and then, but there are definitely some quirks with the UI. Not surprised about slow downs though. My iPad mini 2 runs like a pig... Since iOS 9.

IPad mini 2 is pretty slow on ios11

It's iPhone 4S level hardware. It's really surprising to me that Apple decided to keep supporting it honestly as they cut off both the 4S and the 5 on the iPhone side. I think it's mostly because of all the iPad Mini 2's they sold to education etc.
But even without that knowledge, I would say to not upgrade to iOS 11 on either the iPad Mini 2 or 3. And iPhone 5S is iffy.

iPad mini 2/3 used the A7, iPhone 5S.

You're right. I was thinking of the iPad 2 for some reason. Those were the ones that got sold for a long while to education. But I guess time flies. Not sure what they send to education anymore.

I had an old iPad 2 that I had a hard time giving away for free.

I had the same problem with an Ipad 3, I felt bad, the battery still worked fine, just no one wanted it. I ended up giving it to my 4 year old cousin so she could watch youtube.

I had one as well, but I think I unloaded it at the right time for $150. Before it was completely obsolete. I haven't picked up another iPad since though. Would love a Pro, but financially it just doesn't make sense.
