Samsung CF791 or Asus ROG PG348 or z35p for nvidia 1080ti? I am not competitive gamer but I dont like when stutter occurs.:) Or maybe some other monitor than those above? I like bigger curve on samsung. Do I really need gsync?

Had to return one asus pg348q because of faulty hdmi.

do you need a new monitor right now? there are some biiig things coming pretty soon; real HDR, full array local dimming, 144 Hz 4K, 200 Hz 1440p ultrawide and probably some other things i'm forgetting. all of the monitors that should have this stuff are expected to be out by Q1 of 2018.

with that being said, if you had to pick right now, i would recommend the Z35P. VA is simply superior for multimedia use and it's the only 3440x1440 VA monitor with gsync so it's an easy pick for me.

Well I could wait but I saw that samsung with HDR and quantum dot and on PC it doesnt look like on ps4.

the current implementation of HDR in windows is poor but with these newer screens there's no way they don't have something planned to make them work at their best.

the CF791 does not have real HDR, it's the same thing as in their lower end TVs. the CF791 doesn't get anywhere near bright enough and it's also only an 8 bit panel. these newer panels will support HDR10; they are 10 bit and will be able to reach 1000 cd/m2. big difference.

i just hate to see people drop a lot of money on something when there are exciting developments just around the corner.

Well unfortunately that is too much for monitor and 200hz i will need two 1080ti's.

I am telling you, tried pg348q and it is nice but it dont have big curve and had yellow color on all four angles.

Acer z35p is VA panel and bigger curve.

i understand, friend. my monitor budget is less than half of what the ones you're looking at cost :p like i said, i recommend the Z35P. right now, i think it's the best all-around monitor with gsync out there.

Should ps4 work on that monitor and those speakers give sound through hdmi port? z35p dont have 3.5mm for headphones.

I am still waiting for 4k OLED with Gsync and HDR would be nice. I will probably stick with my LG 34UM95 until that day comes, I just wish it had Gsync at least.

Actually we are to get some new monitors with some of the things you mentioned in Q4 this year.

I am getting a little antsy for the X35

Definitely worth the wait. I am not sure why people think that 200hz means thats the refresh rate you plan on gaming at. 200hz is for people that play games like csgo or league and shit and want higher frames than 100. Most AAA titles play perfectly fine at any frame rate over 60

a 1070 or 1080 is perfectly fine for 3440x1440
