We’re adding two new gaming GPUs to our award-winning lineup of NVIDIA-Pascal based GPUs — the GeForce GTX 1050, starting at $109, and the GTXD 1050 Ti, starting at $139. Both will let you play your favorite games at a smooth 60 frames-per-second. Built on the same Pascal architecture as the most advanced GPUs in the world, the GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti let new PC gamers discover why GeForce delivers the best gaming experiences.

GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti custom boards will be available from NVIDIA GeForce Partners, including ASUS, EVGA, Gainward, Galaxy, Gigabyte, iGame, Innovision 3D, MSI, Palit, PNY and Zotac. NVIDIA GeForce partners represent a global network that will deliver GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti to gamers in 238 countries and territories. GTX 1050 Ti will be available on October 25, while the GTX 1050 will be available on or before November 8.
 
Reviews are in a week i think.

Videocardz currently list the process node as 14 FF, aka 14LPP. o_O
 
1050ti looks nice. Definitely can build a secondary pc/htpc to hook up with my secondary 1080p g-sync monitor and let my wife use it without bothering me :D
 
Ok, its confirmed too. 1050 and 1050TI uses Samsung 14LPP. Yet clocks to the sky.
 
 
Very interested in mobile variants.
Laptops with 1060 and up are going for more than I'm willing to pay, this seems like the ideal price and performance level - enough to play the occasional 2013 and older game maxed on FHD.

Not everyone has 2 slots to spare. I'd like to upgrade the outdated GT430 I use for my secondary monitors with something that can also do a little bit of compute. Since I won't give up my sound card, I only have 1 slot width to work with on either of my extra x16 slots.
 
Low profile 1050 Ti, please. Low profile anything, please. The GTX 750 Ti still being the king of low profile cards is just absurd. It's time to get rid of this thing.

IF you can find such a critter - otherwise, don't bother; either a GTX1050Ti 4G or RX470 4G will make better price sense..
 
The GTX 750Ti is finally dead. One of the best values in recent memory on the low end.

Edit: Assuming a low profile version gets made, which I would be shocked if it wasn't.
 
Thinking of grabbing either the 1050Ti or 1060 6GB for my wife. She's switching back to PC (finally) and I'm putting together a semi-portable mITX image-editing rig.
 
OK so if the 1070 is the 1440p king, and the 1060 is the 1080p king, what is the 1050? The 1080p prince? The 720p king?

Guess we'll know more when the NDA lifts and we see some reviews.

Htpc console form factor portable gaming machine. Low tdp, no need for power plug, 4gb ram and low price make 1050ti a perfect card for secondary pc that you can carry around everywhere.

Eh i carry my 1080 around so i dunno about that argument. Low power and no plug needed i get.

Cheap upgrades for those on a budget as well. I know its not exactly [H] material, but I know a few people gaming on 750Ti or slower cards in their primary machines who can't afford anything better.

Or those that are still on Kepler (if not Fermi) due to budget reasons - the GTX1050 is the first nV GTX GPU since GTX750 with an SRP in the $110SRP price range; the GTX1050Ti is the first 4GB GPU (from anybody) with a sub-100W TDP. The TI has twice the RAM loadout of the base GTX1050; however, the TDP did not move, and the price barely did; unless you have a height OR width issue, I'd expect the Ti to outsell the base part due to the larger RAM loadout and the TDP not moving
 
I can tell already this is going to be like the 1060. Good luck finding one after the first week.
 
I actually hope HardOCP does a review with an AIB version or version with a 6pin connector and OC it. Plus compare it to the fastest RX 460. People/folks/enthusiast do have more than one computer for various reasons like HTPC, kids etc. and a great low power OCing card could be enticing. Not sure how well something like this would be useful for like PhysX since PhysX seems to have flopped.
 
Thinking about this again, the 1050's are in a weird spot, mostly because the 950 wasn't a re-badged or refreshed 750Ti, so the 1050 really won't offer much performance benefit vs the 950. Not that I've been in the market for any cards like this, but I can see it being a source of confusion, since NV hasn't handled the bottom of their stack all that well.

Not flopped - but moved to the CPU. Multicore CPUs are pretty much the default (which was NOT the case when PhysX began); even the bottom-end is dual-core these days.

Huh? What are you talking about. I replied to the low profile post, I have been waiting for something besides a K600 for work PC's forever.

Anyway, I would go with the 470 SE 4GB.

A 470 4GB or consider a 1060 3GB. Both would be enough for Borderlands at 1080p maxed. There is a pretty wide gulf between 1050ti performance and the 470+ crew. Mainly because the 460 was/is so damn anemic that saying the 1050ti is a lot faster than a 460 isn't really saying much at all.

Lol a 470 or 1060 could easily run Borderlands at 4k maxed without even being pushed hard.

Not quite. They'd do ok in 4k, but you have to turn down things like draw distance. Substantially stronger cards still chug into the 40's sometimes in 4k maxed out B2 and B:pS. Usually the really wide open zones with lots detailed terrain.

idk, for some reason, I was more excited about getting a 1060 for a kid's ITX build and a 950 for the HTPC than I was for getting my 2 Titans ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe it's just the feel of getting something that delivers playable performance in all your favorite games in a much smaller and quieter package, and in a smaller enclosure to boot. Will definitely be picking up 1050Tis to upgrade some other machines as well.

Sorry but that is just silly. A 1060 would have no problem getting 60 fps in that old game at 4k. I just fired it up on my 1080 and averaged about 125-130 with lowest framerate of 106. A 1080 is a little less than 70% faster than a 1060 so that means a 1060 would easily average in the mid to upper 70s and should never drop below 60 fps.

Lower TDP than GTX750Ti (which means that it will fit in the same PCs)
More powerful than GTX750Ti.
Most designs don't require a 6-pin.
Combine it with DX11 games and even a Haswell or later dual-core, and you are most of the way to 1080p@30 fps with no other upgrades.
