iOS 11 Beta

I thought it felt less laggy as well, but wasn't sure if it was just because it came off a fresh reboot. I never had any battery life or VPN problems. I'm using an IPSEC VPN. I've been waiting for them to start supporting better ciphers and algorithms, I haven't tried since beta 1 to see if anything has changed.

Odd, haven’t seen that one yet. I have noticed redirect links on hardforum are broken, it just reloads the page and says there was an error. Oh and the tap to scroll to top sometimes doesn’t work on this forum either. Some minor other bugs here and there, but overall pretty stable.

yeah I wanted to try it out for myself but I think I will wait until more of the problems are smoothed out

Beta 5 is out this today. Hoping there will be something in the changelog for the next public beta about this annoying messages problem I'm having.

I've got tons of little UI bugs, things only showing on 1/4 of the screen, etc. could be I'll need to factory reset and start fresh when 11/iPhone 8 is out, but who knows, betas gonna be betas..

I usually wait till the general release to do a DFU restore onto the new version.

Looks like they fixed the Messages problem I was seeing:

The "Messages in iCloud" feature has been removed in iOS 11 beta 5 and will ship in a future software update to iOS 11. Users can continue to receive and store messages on each device, and they can continue to backup and restore messages using iCloud backup.

So it looks like iCloud syncing of messages across multiple devices is coming in iOS 11.X at some point.

Did everyone else lose the keyboard shortcuts in landscape mode too?

It’s like every other beta keeps screwing up my battery life. It’s back to draining pretty quickly when in use.

This latest beta has been great for me. No more crashes, minimal lagging to the point where it's probably the age of the phones fault.

I never had a problem with battery life.

Bit the bullet and went with WatchOS4 beta this time as well. Seemed far enough along to pick it up and get used to it, should be out within a months time from now if we consider prior release schedules/cycles.

How’s the battery life on the watchOS beta? One of the reasons I’ve been afraid to try it is because I’m really happy with the battery life of my series 1 on watchOS 3.

Battery life seems to be back to normal, full day of use with WatchOS 4 developer beta 6. I haven't gotten the prompt that my watch is going into emergency power saving mode since this beta was installed. Series 1 watch here also.

Public Beta 7 came out late yesterday. Didn't get a chance to install it until this morning.

Public Beta 8 out now too. Pretty small update. I thought iOS 11 would be going gold next.

Anybody running the 11.1 beta yet? I usually don’t run the minor betas, but I haven’t seen what changes are included yet either.

Still haven’t done a DFU restore yet...
