What do you get when a blind ninja, smart-ass detective, bulletproof ex-con and kung fu billionaire crosspaths? A new Netflix show featuring Marvel's very own The Defenders not to be confused with the Avengers. The four heroes from Netflix's Marvel street-level series have decided to band together to take on the forces of evil in the streets of New York. Looks to have a good mix of action and drama, maybe some technology involved.

Ugh, I love how Netflix just dumps all the episodes on you.
 
So many actors have not aged well. This looks pretty good. From Alien Resurrection to that.. ouch!!
 
I think Weaver is still looking pretty fine. I love how she can play inspirational good characters and also nasty evil pieces of work effortlessly. Totally convincing in both. Like the late Robert Mitchum.

Alien resurrection was released 20 years ago...
Sigourney is also closing in on 70. She looks fine for her age.

That said, trailer looks promising. Really dug Jessica Jones' darker tone.

lol I know right? People expect these actors to have access to the fountain of youth or something.
 
I refuse to be an apologist, I think all of the individual series are dull and none are re-watchable, every one felt like I was watching them "as part of an assignment"...which meant I wasn't enjoying them, I was doing it because I was supposed to enjoy them.....but it didn't happen :p

*edit* and in every case, the seasoned veteran actor (who plays the villain) is the only reason to tune in. Jessica Jones was basically the David Tennent show, Vincent D'Onfrio's Kingpin was the only gripping component of Daredevil, Weaver above (or is she the good guy? I digress)......
 
Pretty excited for this. I enjoyed the four series together. I am a little disappointed that this probably means we won't get a third Daredevil season :(
 
SO TIRED of seeing Sigourney Weaver in everything, I mean she is an ok actress but dam.
think I will skip this entire series.

About time, they have not yet produced a new season of Daredevil is quite a while.
 
I guess I have to watch Iron Fist now before this comes out? I could really care less about Luke Cage. Jessica Jones was good and Daredevil was good. Sad to see Elektra go to the dark side, but I smell a last minute plot twist in her story.

Know what I miss most about Daredevil? Fisk. I loved his character.

Dog shit fight scene

Cool fight scene from anyone not named Danny Rand
Boredroom bullshit

Luke Cage was really good. As for Elektra, she changes sides all the bloody time in the comics. Dying and coming back evil thanks to the Hand is pretty much her default story.

There's going to be a season 3. More than likely mid/late 2018
 
Watched both Daredevils, gave up on Luke Cage after three episodes (man with a bulletproof ass). Gave up on Jessica Jones after 3 episodes (just get a deaf person to punch him) but watched all of Iron Fist, for some reason.

all that makes me do is realize your opinions are terrible ;).. how do you fail to watch the 3 good shows and watch the b class acted show.. luke cages first season was basically an origin story, jessica jones was by the best of the 4 shows and daredevil's good because it actually follows the comic unlike the god awful movie. iron fist while the story was ok had probably the worst all around acting from every "new" character i've ever seen. the people that cross over through all the shows were still good.

all of them will continue to have their own shows including punisher which i think is in november. jessica jones i believe will be back in march or april then daredevil in june or july. netflixes release schedule is weird as hell though so who knows what they end up being.

Outside of Defenders nothing has a solid date just yet, or even a month. If they stick with three shows a year I imagine the release months will probably be close to how they are now. So one show early in the year, one show mid-year, and one towards the end of the year. They're filming Jessica Jones now so we can assume that will be the first one out next year.
 
I love Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist ain't bad. Have not started on Daredevil or Luke Cage yet.

I didn't say Iron Fist was great. Needed room for improvement in a few depts. Season 2 of Daredevil was good due to the Punisher but the rest of it was arguing and...fucking inexhaustible supply of Ninjas. Season one of DD was superb.

Jessica Jones just didnt grab me. The whole thing with Tennant's character was overblown and to be honest I think Tennant is overrated. As for Luke Cage...well the character was just dull. The plot was okay and I might push myself to finish it.

One thing is for sure, peoples' opinions of these shows is pretty mixed. Which is no bad thing.
