PM me on Monday, I've got a Athlon X2 220 I think dual core, it's at work, I'm not sure if it even works (pretty sure it was just a dead mobo, CPU should be fine)

If you paypal me like $3 for shipping it's yours to try out

you got enough ram?

For the DOS Box, you're probably better off with this:
https://smile.amazon.com/QNINE-Adap...s&keywords=ide+to+compact+flash+adapter&psc=1

and a 2GB CF Card in the long-term.

I wiggled the power connector and it came back to life. I think it was the power pass though connector for the cpu fan. All is right with the dos box now.

I actually have a few of those type adapter, I just like the sound and experience of an actual spinning vintage disk.

OK sorry :) I have only heard of the Ford motor company version of the E350 I did not know it was a term in the computer chip world also only a big ol' van or stripped chassis vehicle (That is used to make Ambulances, Buses, and Box trucks)

Does your board support core unlocking? Most of the single core AM3 Semprons are dual core parts with a soft locked core. I have a Sempron 130 which unlocks to an Athlon x2 4300e and has been perfectly stable for years. Some boards call the core unlock "advanced clock calibration".

I looked into this, my board does. The cpu shows as an athlon x2 whatever but windows immediately crashes.

If you're running XP you may be able to fix that. Boot into safemode, run devmgmt.msc, then try switching from apm to acpi under Computer (or the other way around been awhile).

May also have to bump the voltage as well. Some unlocked cores needed a small bump in Vcore. hence why they ended up as Semprons.

Running Win10, not gonna mess with it. Will wait till the package from vaulter gets here.

I have one extra of the Nvidia For Honor/ Ghost recon promo codes, Free to the first person who activates it. OJWZ-SAJN-LYQR-NZGX-HBVR-HTQG.

would anyone have a 2.5" ide harddrive at least 100gb?

I may have one, I'll check my parts bin tonight. If so, you can have for the cost of shipping.

Also looking for a low profile video card for an old machine running a Core 2 Duo and 4gigs of ram. Anything that will boost performance from the onboard video will work.

I am looking for ND filter(s) for up coming eclipse. (Also looking for one of those phone eclipse kits with the zoom lens and filter) Not expecting free but cheaper = better ;)

Looking for a decent~ish 8" to 10" tablet, my mom is 79 and it would be nice to not have to go upstairs every time she looks something up.

Would only really be used for reading and/or web stuff, so 1GB to 2GB RAM would work, prefer Windows so she doesn't have to learn new OS

Appreciate you guys and thanks for any assistance you can give !!! <3 :-})

Does anyone have any Torx Screwdrivers that fit 3.5" HDDs? (I think T5, T6, T7)?

As a personal project I want to open an old dead IDE drive and take a look around. Not sure exactly which Torx this takes but it's an old Seagate.

Tried small flatheads but they started stripping the screws (and in one case, broke the tip of the flathead because it was a cheapo soft one)

Yeah, the reason I'm looking for free/cheap is I rarely need them otherwise and would rather not waste money on a set. This is the first time in my 31 year life that I've ever needed a Torx (and only for a personal project) and I doubt I'll run into a need for them again

Yeah after some searching just found a super cheapo set on ebay for like $3 so that works. Thanks for the suggestions.

Does anyone have those DVI to VGA adapters they turned into headless dummy plugs using 3 (I think) resistors? I had like a dozen of them, asked around, no one wanted em so I tossed em, now just a few months later I need to try a theory but I don't have any left lol, go figure

Need a bunch, I've got 3 adapters left here I'm going to convert but I still need to look into what resitors and if I can buy those from China

HDMI headless ones may work too but those are looking about 10 bucks each on ebay, hoping to be cheaper than that

EDIT - Not needed anymore, found a better option via Linux

Anyone happen to have a genuine leftover Acer C720 Chromebook AC Adapter/Charger?

Found out mine is after-market and not properly grounding, rendering the touchpad useless while plugged in due to a ground loop, and potentially making the device dangerous to use in general
A very noisy power supply will also cause that issue. But yea, stop using it ;)
