EU Setting Up for Another Record Fine on Google

If you're a remoaner I wouldn't worry if I were you about Brexit. With the stranglehold the left have on the media it's never going to happen. All you see on Google News front page for example is the Guardian.

Either way Davexit is happening. I got my Ozzy VISA coming soon and then I'm on my way. Applied when the Tories decided to screw contractors over last May, and the realisation Brexit ain't gonna happen despite it being voted for sealed the deal. It might be no better there, but at least I don't have to suffer the EU and Corbyn-Stalin much longer.
 
IMO the reason Europe is doing all these fines all of a sudden is to raise money to pay their fare share for once, for the cost of being protected by NATO

You may very well have a point!

The second article points out that, "thirteen allies, mostly smaller former communist countries that joined the alliance after the fall of the Soviet Union and disintegration of Yugoslavia, pay less than one percent each."

So, those nations may need the EU to carry them in more than one regard?
 
Once again, Google is not forcing phone manufacturers to pre-install their apps in order for the device to run android. The reason those apps are pre-installed is because its part of the terms to use the Google Play Store Service. No Google Play store, no need to have those apps installed. Just look at Amazon or some third party custom ROMs. Also just because everyone uses one program doesn't mean that program has some sort of unfair advantage, it could just mean its the best out there. Chrome dominates the browser wars, but to my knowledge people, not I, use it because they think its the best there is and not because of some unfair advantage.

Finally why isn't the EU going after Apple and its walled garden? Is it because apple makes the hardware? Does that really make it any different from what Google does?
 
Being hit that hard by Europe, I'd block all IP addresses from Europe. When the users complain, point to the actions of their government. If you ever want google and its services again, protest to your government to quit harassing us.
