Minnesota Woman Fatally Shoots Boyfriend in Failed YouTube Video Stunt

Im having trouble understanding this. At all. Usually when people do something stupid, I am able to at least see the thought process they might have gone through to get there. I cannot see that at all here. They were testing something with two conclusions - either A or B. And A would prove fatal. So why did they do it like that?

Because each had to have a very low IQ. There is no point in any reasonably intelligent person trying to understand such. Those of low IQ might as well be a different species in regards to how their brains (don't) work.
 
Damn i guess youtube's ads aren't paying out like they used to, we got people desperate enough to make this type of shit for views. I can only imagine if they weren't able to get a gun they would have resorted the old apple on the head and arrow trick with similar results.
 
Wouldn't it have been more intelligent and cautious to of maybe shot the book with the gun somewhere non-life threatening before holding it up to your chest? Why chance your life on something that will most likely kill you....
 
I'm pretty sure this stunt has been in the news a couple times already, but with two phonebooks and a shotgun, and badly bruised recipients. But a Desert Eagle .50? C'mon. I mean, if someone said $25M to hold two phonebooks and take a shotgun blast, I think a lot of people would take that risk, but a .50 is suicide, even if it didn't penetrate.

Yeah, and end up like Britain were honest people can't defend themselves against psychotics. How's that workin out for Britain? People will find ways of killing each other regardless. Its the mental illness that nobody wants to talk about. The gun didn't kill this person, the person behind the trigger did.

They are still doing more than an order of magnitude better than the US in firearms deaths per 100k people. Now there are many ways that you can kill someone, guns are just about the easiest though.

Australia has not had a mass shooting since they rounded up all the guns.
When did you attend your last Well Regulated Militia meeting.

That's because Australia has VERY strict immigration policies & better quality of life. And again, its a mental health issue, not a gun issue.

The language of the U.S. Constitution does NOT require militia service of citizens to keep and bear arms.
The SCOTUS upheld that interpretation of 2A. If you read 2A carefully it doesn't grant any rights at all and
doesn't make any requirements of citizens at all. It's a limitation on the government to not infringe rights.

Getting impeached requires a consensus. I don't know why you think Congress would come to a consensus on anything aside from whatever their donors want. You really want Pence as president that badly?
