While I haven't tried this personally yet, as an audio enthusiast I definitely intend to!

PulseEffects is an equalizer, limiter, reverb, and compressor that works with Pulseaudio, very interesting if I do say so myself!!

Heh I hope you're not planning to use those EQ settings if your speakers are dear to you :)
