CoD: Modern Warfare Remastered Game Case Revealed, Could Be Available June 20th

A tipster sent CharlieIntel some images of the game case, and has found some details of the possible release date of June 20th. Some Target stored had put up pricing stickers showing the price of $39.99.

After the failure that was Infinite Warfare, it seems Activision is trying to squeeze a bit more out of fans of the franchise with this standalone release. I was a big fan of the original Modern Warfare, as well as MW2, but $40 for a 10 year old game with microtransactions shoehorned in is way overpriced in my opinion.

According to the tipster, their internal computers have the game set for release on Tuesday, June 27. Other retailers from earlier this month claimed a June 20th release, so we’re still awaiting final confirmation on a specific release date. It seems to be either June 20 or June 27.
 
In my case, I only played MW for its campaigns, I haven't even accidentally pressed multi-player button on those games.

I'd probably pay for $10 for this, $15 tops, not at $40.

Same. I never play the online portion of the game and only want the single-player portion. Why I like the original CoDs. It was all about the single player, with the multiplayer tagged on as an extra. Feels reverse now.
 
The remaster needs to bring back 64 player limit for PC again. The remastered was a joke.
 
I loved the MW line (but didn't love the ever growing downward spiral of bugs from 2 and 3, they ruined the game). but there is no way i'd spend big dollars on this. Just a rippoff.

Create a new MW:Trilogy that includes all the guns.. maps.. and goodness of the first three and don't include any of the shit bugs of MW2 or MW3 and add some genuine bonsues for prestiging and bump to lvl50 or hell... 100 to prestige... and bring back decent servers and the ability for users to kick hacks/team killers.... and i'll pay 200$ for it. ;)
 
I love the idea of remastering the original 3 games! Must be released on Steam though... PC or bust!
 
A remaster of a game that most people already own for 40$? Hell its probably just a texture pack that could be patched into the game.....should be free...not 40$. Milkin' the cash cow until its bone dry I guess.....
 
I already got it with infinite warfare, at least made me feel I did not completely waste my money on that one.

But for people who never played the original one it might be worth it as a standalone release.

Forget that. Just buy the original when it goes on sale for $15. It's light years better than this "remaster" and people are still playing it thanks to dedicated servers.

Yeah, same with me. I'd pay $40 for the entire 3 episode series remastered into a single game or bundle, maybe even $50 because I did love the campaigns on them, but not anything more than that.
