Destiny 2

Controller is superior hell your not hunched over your PC. Flying with a keyboard and mouse would suck with destiny.

If you're hunching over your keyboad and mouse you need a new desk and a new chair. And you probably need to see a chiropractor because doing that will royally fuck up your back.

Exactly, something is seriously wrong with his setup or posture if he is hunching over his keyboard when gaming.

Anyway, for all the PC connoisseurs here is PC 4K gameplay demonstrated on a K/M.

Having watched the gameplay videos I still struggle to understand what is so compelling about this game. The graphics are nothing special if not outmoded, combat looks pedestrian, the gameplay already exudes a strong focus on mob grinding and for reasons beyond anyone's comprehension Bungie still insists on its shitty floaty physics model which dates back to Halo 1.

There isn't really anything that compares on consoles. They made something that worked well and was kind of new to the console crowd. That's why it was so popular. They'd probably be better off not releasing it on PC. Warframe is essentially the same game and it's been around for years.

The first was definitely fun on console. I don't know if I'd have enjoyed it as much if I had a PC at the time I was playing Destiny. I'll probably end up getting it for console because I feel like PC will die fast or get hacked or something.

I said it in another thread: Bungie doesn't innovate, but what they do is bring a solid balanced and polished product to the table. The original game is fun and consistent. The high number of concurrent players still on the first game really attests to this.

Destiny doesn't really do anything special when compared to other games on consoles, either. In fact, comparatively Destiny is simple, maybe even considered dumbed down. But that doesn't make it any less fun.

The only reason the game on PC will die fast is because of attitudes like this. For some reason most big AAA releases are anathema on PC and it has gotten to the point that it pisses me off, especially for multiplayer games. Sometimes it makes me want to go back to playing on consoles exclusively.

It's really annoying when people refuse to play a game and cite hacking as the issue. It happens but I feel that it is blown out of proportion

To add to your point: The stuff Bungie does well they do very well. The one thing Bungie has always managed to do since Halo: CE is make firing guns fun. They really understand how to balance everything out to make every weapon work for a player's style and just make it feel solid and fun. Destiny wasn't the most complex or advanced shooter on consoles, but I'd argue it was one of the best playing. Controls were solid, balance was solid, outside of bosses enemies rarely felt like bullet sponges, etc. Bungie's shooters have always managed to be among the small handful of console FPS that I can stand to play for more than a few hours.

No, it will die fast because it's all been done before over and over. On PC, it's like welcome to 10 years ago.

If that was on PC, they definitely weren't playing with a kb/m. That was cringe-worthy aiming and reaction time.

I think it's scripted since the console gameplay video showed the exact same stuff, but this one is a shorter segment.

it's definitely scripted. it's so unnatural and distracting. Just record one of your staff running through a section of the game.

PC gamers are an odd bunch, so it's hard to tell what will succeed on the platform. Sometimes unpolished garbage gets a free pass because they said the right things to the community. Other times you'll see something that is super polished and bulletproof tank because the community felt slighted in some way.
The best thing Bungie can do is keep reiterating how the PC is the superior platform and people will eat it up. Console people won't care (it won't affect them), but PC gamers love to get that ego stroke.

Especially if it gets backed up with solid results. That's all that matters and remember: For every vocal person that comes on a forum like this there are x number of others that don't that buy stuff, enjoy it, and go on their merry way.

Absolutely and to a degree it will be deserved. I'm looking forward to it and I bet a lot of people even on here will end up buying it.

I know I will. A couple of my friends and myself are planning to get it and play together. We've been messing around with Destiny 1 again recently, since one friend wanted to play again and we all decided we'd join along.

Some 4K/60 gameplay from Digital Foundry along with impressions on the graphics from them.

Right now this is a good showing for the port, but we have to keep in mind that this is running on a 1080 ti and not the final version, so things could always change,

its killed pc FPS games for me alot, I undertsand most people probably are not hacking and are just really good and thats fine. But I have ran into alot of hackers in some games, GTA V comes to mind lol. What drove me up the wall in some older games like Bad Company 2 is every time I would do well I would get accused of being a hacker and then get booted from servers and such and it really just killed it for me. I find the console much easier simply because I dont have to deal with the hacker issue at all, just the Xim/M&KB users lol.

Just to add to the discussion, the demo-stations (7700k/1080Ti) for Destiny 2 at the Nvidia booth at E3 were running the game at 4k/60fps with FXAA, textures on the highest setting (ultra I think) and everything else set to medium. It played and looked fantastic, but if you're looking to absolutely max out this game at 4k and 60 fps or higher, then you might need some hardware that doesn't exist right now. They'll probably be able to optimize the game further before its October release date, but it's hard to say by how much.

Thanks. Snagged the last one.
Let me know if your code works, my friend is on a 1080 and getting this error:

"You do not meet the hardware requirement to redeem this coupon."

He already claimed Ghost Recon Wildlands so he might not be allowed to claim a second. Just need to know if I should flip the code or get a refund from the seller.

Its not working for me either. I haven't redeemed anything with this card before so that isn't the problem.

Seller just PM'd me, he said they're Rocket League codes and asked me if it's okay, lol.
Suggest you go for a refund.

Edit: I think he's issuing refunds for everyone, just got a message from Paypal. nbd.

Yep, he just messaged me as well. Either it was intentional and he was hoping to get away with it or he's an idiot and didn't pay attention.

Edit: At least he's fast with refunds.

Take that pc scrubs! PS4 master race!! lol

To bad though, was looking forward to trying the pc one side by side of my PS4 but I can wait :p

I just hope the matchmaking isn't thrown together on th' PC version

If I can get into one Raid ill be happy if I have to grind for it not so much.

Bungie has to realize MMOs grind isn't for everyone. Especially what happened to the grand daddy mmo recently Eq next.

I had more fun in the house of elders xur and sometimes the crucible the rest of it was a grind.

What I thought Bungie was going for a borderlands 2 clone pretty much the oposite happened the whole game was larger than life yet still a first person shooter.

Then an awesome game like firefall hardly gets a peep and reviews that come out of left field.
