After a full year of speculation, it's official the name for Microsoft's Project Scorpio is Xbox One X.The basic specs include an 8-core CPU clocked at 2.3GHZ, 12GB of DDR5 RAM, 1TB 2.5-inch drive, and 4K UHD Blu-Ray player. The GPU runs at 40 compute units @ 1172MHz attached to a vapor chamber cooler.
Microsoft plans to have 22 titles ready for launch. Priced at $499.99, the system is scheduled for a worldwide release on Nov. 7th. With that price tag I'll take a wait and see approach myself, but some of the exclusives sure do look interesting.
If want the best possible console performance in gaming, and are willing to pay for it, Microsoft has become your best bet. The Xbox One X boasts a more than four-fold increase over the Xbox One's graphics capability, a 31 percent increase in CPU speed and a 50 percent increase in onboard RAM
