Microsoft deletes users kaspersky

This is some pretty sophomoric reporting, and pedantic griping on Kaspersky's part.

Why would Kaspersky not be going through the process to be a trusted publisher with Microsoft?

Honestly, why should they have to? The fact that they are using their monopoly power to do this gives their claim some merit.

If microsoft owned winzip and started automatically replacing 7zip with their inferior shit just because they don't pony up for the protection money to be "trusted" (aka achmed's used cars and ssl certificates kind of "trust") I think I'd join a US lawsuit.

Well, the complaint is stemmed from Kaspersky just complaining, "We didn't have enough time to meet compatibility constraints", which doesn't hold any water with me. Unless I just can't Google properly, I don't see any other AV vendors launching the same complaint.

Given how deeply integrated an AV is with the OS....it is one thing that really should be a trusted installer......
