Gsync or not

I am still testing it out. Honestly I think its too much when it comes to price but I believe its still cheaper then launch price. it was well above my budget but I have a few gadgets I am willing to sell to justify this and it is actually breathtaking when it comes to image quality and spreadsheet work. Working side by side on it is amazing.

I am taking some cyber security certification so haven't gamed much lately but I plan to this next week. I might game some tonight I will update. These monitors are suppose to be 100hz OC, so its not guaranteed. I did run some benchmarks on it, it felt great. But I have seen not all users get 100hz so I am still testing that out some people say after 95hz or so you will get flickering. I haven't noticed that but I did notice a big stutter where FPS just crashed in Tomb raider but I think that might be just a random thing. I am testing it more and I will update here. But when you launch a game, the colors and impressiveness of the screen is breath taking though.

That's the thing. I am trying to go 34 inch curved. They are all 100hz. Max. I have to look at productivity as well. I am gaming 20-30% of the time. I do a lot of work from home.

And if I go 27 inch gsync I would have to get two monitors, which I am trying to avoid. Wife hates two monitors on my desk, my computer is in the loft. She is willing to have me spend extra on a single big screen.

its between these three monitors.

Above just looks great. and will do 100hz, VA panel vs ips which I really don't mind. But I am able to run this at 100hz like other monitors without gsync though.

Above I asked amazon to pricematch microcenter and they refused. Microcenter has it for 999.99. I would have bought this already had Amazon price matched. Pretty stubborn rep I got. May be I should order and then chat with them to cancel, may be they will adjust the price.

(this one someone lock selling it for 700 + exchange for extra 40 inch tv I have) It hasn't been used by him since he got it replaced. I am in the process of verifying warranty from asus.

I've got a PG278Q ROG Swift and love it so I'm partial to the ASUS but you won't go wrong with any of those options. Any of those three would be a visual playground.

So looks like my monitor has some issues running at 100hz, since these are not true 100hz its hit and miss I guess. I get stutters if I enable 100hz in games. What I will be doing is returning this monitor and getting actually this one that I just pre-ordered.

I should have it in 1-3 weeks hopefully. It has faster refresh rate and very similar to HP omen 35 but it runs at true 100hz by default and overclockable to 120hz (not guaranteed) but 100hz default would be nice to have.

I was able to replicate the issue with my monitor, I enabled 100hz in tomb raider and I would get stutters and then I dropped it down to 60hz and they were totally gone. I am sure the monitor will run at 90hz but the Acer z35p 100hz default and it does have better curvature as well. I am not too worried about the panel since its not TN and its the same panel as HP Omen 35 and I have seen that in person, it looked pretty damn good.

Yep, Gsync is the bees knees. Never going back to a standard monitor. I just set my game graphics to my liking and forget about it. No more locking to a specific refresh rate or using v-sync to get rid of screen tearing.

It's expensive but worth it IMO.
