Hey there.

I'm in the market for a beast of a gaming laptop, and I have a sizeable budget to back it up. I'm not sure what the best option is. Something to note though: one of the reasons I'm going for a laptop instead of the desktop in the first place is because I truly want to have as complete a package as possible in ONE portable machine.

I don't want machines that require dongles in order to get a decent number of ports. I don't want machines that have displays so bad that I'll pretty much need to use an external monitor. I don't want machines that have keyboards that aren't worth looking at. Am I likely going to use external solutions at home? Yes. Do I want to depend on them and make my on-the-go experience absolute shit? No.

If anyone knows of a machine like this, please let me know. I'm also fine with going to boutique vendors like Origin, but only if they have a machine that checks off the right boxes for that $2500 price.

Curious why you are starting a second thread about the same thing?

Confused here as well... thought I had just seen a thread asking this same question.

Enh? My previous thread asked about powerful gaming machines with an optical drive. This is asking about the best overall deal under a certain price range. Sorry if you think the 2 threads are too similar, but they're really not.

Basically it's the same thread, and I posted a link that will answer all your questions with a little input.

See, I know about a lot of the various options out there. It's just that they all seem to be lacking in at least one depertment. Those are the concerns I have, and they're the kind of thing that can't necessarily be answered by a spec sheet (ex. quality of keyboard).

Thanks! I already know and love Dave 2D, but the other channel's new to me.
