Don't know about you, but I am certainly looking forward to this.

Ubisoft has released the trailer for the Far Cry 5 today. The upcoming title will take place in the Montana wilderness changing the settings from the former exotic locale of the previous titles. New features include 2-player co-op for the story campaign, customizable character editor, and aerial dogfights. An interview with the developers was also released. The game is scheduled for release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Check out the video.

Welcome to Hope County, Montana. When your arrival incites the cult to violently seize control of the region, you must rise up and spark the fires of resistance to liberate a besieged community.

Freely explore Hope County’s rivers, lands, and skies with the largest customizable weapon and vehicle roster ever in a Far Cry game. You are the hero of the story in a thrilling world that hits back with every punch, and where the places you discover and the locals you ally with will shape your story in ways you’ll never see coming. - Available February 27, 2018.

If the co-op isn't Local split screen no sale here and I hope it sells poorly, local split screen is fun with big TVs.

I hope it sells billions just to piss you off.

Yeah it looks fantastic. Day one buy. Was hoping it would be out before end of year, though - Feb 2018 seems like forever from now! And then it'll be competing with RDR2 which has also been pushed to 2018.

Being able to co-op from beginning to end is also pretty cool, since you could only co-op certain parts of FC4.

Someone's cheerios got pissed in.

I enjoyed all the other Far Cry games enough so I'll pick it up, but I'll forget about it 5 times with a Feb 2018 release.

Looks pretty cool, can't wait for the Christmas sale to pick this one up.

Ah yes, the joys is squished FOV, lower resolution/detail/framerate/responsiveness and reassurance from your friends they are not looking at your portion of the screen.

Local split-screen is dead, my man. The industry has all but abandoned it.
Yes, the same goes for offline LAN multiplayer/coop and dedicated servers.

Still waiting on the RDR2 announcement for PC. But I'm glad it releases later, I can spend the holidays with Mario and family of course.

I'll play it, because I'm excited for a different terrain, FC2 was my favorite location wise. 3 & 4 were too similar.

well rd2 won't come out until two moths later at best. it's rock* and 2k so at least one more delay. so no worries.

On wccftech, which I normally avoid the comments like the plague, since they're just a sewer. They have an article on this game, and I intentionally scrolled right down to the comments. You guys should check them out. A lot of angry guys on their bitching about Christian extremists being the villains and how they'd NEVER make a game with Islamic extremists. Until someone pointed out freaking Call of Duty lol.

It looks great, but then I remember it will be made by Ubisoft and has a large chance of being a buggy mess. Probably look for it on sale though.

wow pretty intense trailer. kind of haunting. good thing our fanatics are also meth addicts so the problem solves itself in cyclical fashion of samsara while trapped in paticcasamuppada (what happens in the trailer park eventually blows up in the trailer park)

If you want to do a game like this in the states, the plot makes perfect sense. I'm sure they would have went with Scientologists if they weren't worried about being sued into the ground.

as long as it isn't like ghost recon where you have AI tards following you around all the time..I'm in. I liked 1,2,3 and 4 enough to want this.

I am very interested in Far Cry 5. The trailers I've watched have been very intriguing. Gets my blood pumping.

Game looks so awesome. Can't day-one ubisoft products anymore though

I got burned buying Trials Evolution through steam and it would never validate on ubisofts website.

Considering that site, it's just trolls and fake outrage infesting the comments for the lols. The muzzie terrorist bad guy trope is so cliche' and played out at this point.

There will be no legitimate outrage over this title - just the clickosphere trying to stir up ccontroversy, which will be free press for the game.

By all signs its going to be a fun, Tarantino-esque, Duck Dynasty costumed Justified.

Wow, what a trailor.

But, then again, the Shit-Monster in Dogma was kinda cute.

Was that dialogue by Forrest Whittaker? And am I getting a Cthulhu vibe?

I did enjoy all the Fry Cry games except the primitive one. Never even looked at that one twice. This one has gained my interest back to the series.

This should be interesting.
Looks like some type of post US Government type of environment with Murkan Taliban/ISIS running around fucking folks up.
Could be worth it just for the weird ass, but still interesting, story.

First thing that threw me off was the fact it's setting is in some Redneck County. Here I'm thinking "Imma be killin' me some good 'ol boys" lmao!

well.. the ingame scenes look good. will be picking this on up as i have the others.

the co-op could be fun, though the wife will really hate having to hunt the animals to upgrade. only reason she didnt play the others, but co-op might change her mind

EDIT: OOHHH.. its for sale on steam, awesome

Ubisoft? $14.99. That's my buy point for basically anything they make. As soon as it hits $14.99, I buy it....whatever it is..>Assassins Creed Part Whatever<, Far Cry Whatever...experience is always the same.

Pretty sure you're fighting a fictionalized version of "The Klan meets Survivalists".........ISIS? Aren't they victims now? :)

There's a trailer with the game's director describing Montana in almost alien terms. So I'm sure this won't in any way degenerate into mishandled stereotyping and clumsy backhanding of the personality type that would want to live in Montana.
