Super Hot coming to Vive

I am holding off on this one. I have wanted it a long time but from what I understand the VR version is even shorter than the original and one of the main complaints is the non VR version was short. I am not sure if it's worth what they are asking for it.
 
almost no vr game is worth what they're asking

if you don't want to sell your headset or have it be an expensive dust collector then you're gonna have to buy some overpriced games

Way overpriced IMO, given that it's not the full first game but only a smattering of similar content. But if you go to the SUPERHOT page and buy the "bundle", you can get it for an additional $4 off (if you already own SUPERHOT).

I've played through the first one and, while cool and unique, was not worth anywhere near $25.
 
It's very short, it's fun though. Probably best use of VR i've seen so far

I haven't beaten it yet but I'm kind of underwhelmed so far.

Playing the original game I was like "man i wish i was doing this in VR" the entire time. Now that I am, it doesn't feel as cool as I was expecting. I think the gameplay/difficulty needed to be retuned for VR since it feels quite a bit easier to stay alive in this version.
 
It's getting very good reviews on Steam, something to play over the long weekend.
 
They changed the control scheme so that you no longer have to hold the side buttons, it doesn't even use the side buttons anymore:
  • To grab an object use the trigger
  • To release it use the touchpad
  • You grabbed a gun? Shoot with the trigger.
  • Wanna go melee? Just hold the trigger while unarmed and punch away!
I think it's a nice improvement.
 
I love the original game and the VR version felt even better to play. The challenge is different compared to the original but it still feels just right to play. It is a bit short though but just plain fun to dodge bullets. I played it recently on PSVR and controlwise only throwing was difficult and has IMO been done better in other games. Well worth the purchase if it's on sale.
 
I ended up picking this up on sale...it is actually pretty cool, though the "hit detection" seems off sometimes.
 
It's cool to play, but, I don't ever see me going back to play it again. If you can get it on a sale price then buy it.

It's definitely worth playing once.
