Rosetta WU's

Trying to get as many as I can to bunker them for a day, but they're just not filling up my queue. I get 1 or 2 WU's every 20 minutes of so. My rigs have about 20 WU's each. Anyone else having issues getting WU's?
 
Yep, I'm seeing the same thing too. I got one task every 4 mins.
 
I cant stop WCG from getting WUs for some reason. It just keeps downloading them.
 
Looked at the rosetta server stats last night and just a little after the sprint started its been down more than up.
The boxes I really wanted to get WU's on barely got anything where the ones I could care less about sucked up more WU . UGHHH

Well on one of my boxes the default settings under Disk and Memory the 3boxes are checked under disk as use no more than 10GB leave a least XX free and use no more than 50% so it uses the most restrictive. I looked at the logs and said rosetta needed more space so I just left the last box checked at use no more than 50% and I started sucking down WU's ... ughhhh
 
I've not watched Rosetta for a while, but the last year or so they have been running into more and more roadblocks with infrastructure. They used to be rock solid with tons of work. Charity Engine hammered them hard a year or so back which caused them to re-think some things. I honestly don't know where they went from there but know their reliability is one of the reasons they were troublesome during last years Pentathlon.
 
Well they're troublesome now.

I disconnected my 4P boxes before I left work today. I think I had around 100 total WU's between the 2x 48 core and 2x 64 core rigs. Wasn't even utilizing them completely, but I couldn't stick around and wait any longer.

What's the best time to put them back online tonight EST?
 
Well I dumped my load. Wasn't much since I couldn't get enough WU's from the server.

Still having issues trying to get work. Currently running 86 tasks and I have a whole lot more CPU cores to be crunching on than that. Just between my 4P boxen I have 224 cores. This is aggravating because we're barely in the lead above the #1 team in the world in this project and we're going to drop quickly since we don't have anymore WU's to drop from bunkering.

Yeah I seen that. Currently sitting at 129 active tasks for the sprint. Not even half what I am capable of crunching. This is such total bullshit.
 
All my systems are full of WU's. For the most part they're just going "as is"; but will do the 50% thing later to see if that helps.
 
I don't get why I am having such a hard time getting WU's. Maybe it's a Linux thing?
 
That could be; but the one Linux system I looked at was fully loaded. Maybe it just comes down to luck of the draw.
 
Mine is pulling Rosetta as It goes but it just keeps pulling WCG WUs for some reason as well.

We are 21,760 points behind on this last update!
 
Seems these WU's are not worth very many points for the 5ish hours they take to complete

Yeah they are low points. I changed my settings to 4 hours on the site. Not sure if that made a difference, but it seems that all my WU's (well over 90% of them) are all returning work every ~4 hours now. I'll check to see what they're worth later tonight when I have more time to look.

I started mid-day the day before and Im at 9700. WCG would've turned out a boat load more points
 
I feel ya guys. I'm right at 140k and I started 2 days ago.

14,000 seconds is a little less than 4 hours.
 
Rosetta is known to be low scoring. However, I have not kept up. I actually haven't actively ran it since last years pentathlon. It was one of those...I hit my goal so I moved on projects...
 
Not sure what happened, but I am up to 260 active R@H tasks now. That should put a nice dent in the scoring seeing as how I've been averaging about half or less since I started.
 
I just joined. It's causing me to wait (communication deferred) - I'll crank up a few machines since I'll be gone all day tomorrow anyways-
 
I see you have one task. That is normal. It will run that task for a little while then start pulling more. At least, that's what it does for me.

They're having issues with tasks distributing though it seems.

Just make sure you suspend other projects in the BOINC manager so they wont take up slots.
 
Doesn't mean they're sending me any.

I get one task per host, per request.

What's weird is my web server that hosted in a datacenter with 4 cores has over 200+ tasks waiting to be used while between all my other boxen I'm around 55 now (but was around 10 earlier).
 
I can not wait for this challenge to be over.

Servers down all the time, Long run time WU's, & shit for credit.

Once this is over the new 6180 SEs are going in.
