This is interesting... I've always wondered why there were so many waterblock variations. EKWB are now doing a "universal" FE waterblock, similar to the GTX 1080 Ti waterblock that was recently released.

What do you guys think?

Personally, I'm not a fan of the giant terminal....

I kinda dig the terminal cover, but I'm not a big fan of EK's stuff. Shocked the cover isn't RGB with the way things have been going hah.

EK always struck me as the ultimate expression of function over form.

They look solid as a rock in terms of performance and build quality, but... man, the whole "acrylic brick" thing just never has done it for me.

Hate acrylic... black acetal all the way. And I agree, EK is about performance/function and to hell with bling and LEDs, which is why I run their blocks. Granted the plating fiasco from a few years back gave them a black eye, but they are still my goto pick whenever it comes to upgrading to a new GPU block.

Has anyone run the aquacomputer blocks that have the active cooling backplate? I am running EK right now, but though that might be worth trying. The backplates on my EK cards still get pretty warm.
