Will be paired with 1700x and 16 or 32GB Dom Plat 3k. Only reason I'm going with the 1700x over the 1700 is the $100 off of the 1700x but only $50 for the 1700.

I really like both of these boards and really can't decide...

Which one?

Neither?

With that out of the way... I would go for the Taichi because it is new. I don't like buying 'open box' or 'refurbished' main boards.

I mean some parts are OK that way, but not the heart of the system.

My 2 cents.

Good luck!

Actually now that I think about it they don't do motherboard/cpu combo pricing for open box... but still between the two boards listed. Fixed title.

Curious to why you'd choose neither?

Taichi. I have the Fatality Professional and its the same exact motherboard except for the 5g LAN and BS Creative Cinema that actually removes the equalizer in the control panel. The only reason I bought the Fatality was because there were no X370 Taichi boards in stock.

Pretty much same board, go with the one you like better (looks) and price... if you dont need the 5G lan.

i think the pro gaming one also has the dual audio chips. either way they're both good boards i just don't think the pro gaming ones worth the extra 50 bucks though if you can find the taichi available.

Same, tachi unavailable and needed to build right away. 5G is interesting and technically cheaper than the card will be but most of the time an i211 would have been a better option.
BTW it is still just a realtek audio chip (1220) you can use the regular drivers thankfully.
