Anybody know why this board and the Gaming K3, K7 for that matter, show the intel Lan controller as a removable USB device? I have more than once removed it by mistake.

I googled and see the same question asked on the Gigabyte forum with no response. Wouldn't running this off the USB bus cripple the speed ?

I haven't noticed, but there are USB 3.0 Ethernet adapters which work fine at gigabit speeds. I don't think it's an issue.

That said, not all removable devices are necessarily usb devices. I'll take a look, but I'm betting it's not a USB device, rather someone accidentally set the removable device flag in the driver.

Yeah, it's on the PCI bus: "Slot 1 (PCI bus 6, device 0, function 0)" (according to the device properties)

Hello All,
Gigabyte has new beta bios F3a for this solution of Intel 211 LAN chipset detect as USB devices.
I have tested this bios and it works.
Maybe you wanna try the latest beta bios for checking.
