Two More Retail Ryzen 7 1700 Overclock Tested @ [H]

... I hope to contribute soon, as my Ryzen 1700 + Asus Crosshair VI should be arriving at the end of this week :)

yeah, that didn't work out yet ... still waiting for the screen (Asus mx34vq) to come in stock to complete the order, delivery has been delayed for 3 times now ... I hope the screen is worth the wait :)

canceled the screen so I could start with my build :)
- Ryzen 1700
- Asus Crosshair VI Hero
- Corsair Vengance LED 3200

updated bios 902 to 1002, selected "DOCP standard" (in extreme tweaker menu) and the RAM speed/timings/voltage was set correctly, no issue at all

I was first planning to use my old Thermalright True Spirit 140, but when unpacking the CPU, the included Spire cooler just looked to nice to not give it a try ... so I just installed it with the pre-applied thermal past and I'm positively impressed:
- it looks very nice and clean, and the LED ring is nice but discreet at the same time
- when doing some stresstest (AIDA64) at stock 3Ghz (boost to 3.2 during the test), the cooler can keep the CPU at a nice 55°C with rpm of +/- 1350 (50%) ... and it is inaudible !
- obviously not meant for OC, but anyway, @3.8 on all cores (only multiplier), the temperature rose to 75°C for the same test (and at +/- 2700 rpm, 100%), and it was still not making much noise (@3.9 it shutdown after a couple of minutes)

for the moment, i'm still liking the Spire cooler to much, so real OC will have to wait a little :)

if I remember correctly, the last stock cooler I used was on an AMD Athlon 500 (slot A), about 20y ago ... now that I say it, I think I still have that board + CPU lying around somewhere

edit:
guess I was wrong about that stock cooler on that Athlon 500 :D ... it seems to be one from Thermaltake (see image)
