hi, i dont know what i did , but i have downloaded so many versions of drivers for the card i have.
I tried the driver on the CD i got and it seemed okay but then it looked like it did an auto update. My machine also was making funny pointer vectors for my mouse icon.
after using the machine for a while and then installing different drivers, it seemed to have gone away.
Apparently other experienced this based on the reads i had in tomhardware.

I was told to get driver set 16.12.2 but i cant find it some say December 2016 and some say January 2017 and then WHQL and then RELIVE i dont understand it. nVidia just seemed more easier it showed you the entire list of driver versions on one page. I want to love AMD but i would appreciate some guidance. Maybe i took the wrong pill i am not finding it easy to learn , for now.

Maybe unrelated but i notoce that because of driver uninstalling and re-installing and what not, also playing with my swap file size.... ?I still dont know what the correct size should be and if i should allow windows 7 64 bit handle this for me?
I am also using an old hard drive it is only SATA 1 i think , its a 160 GB drive.
BUT anyways,m i noticed that when i mine or even play games...the frames per second and hash rate is slow, it is a little slower, i dont understand it, i hope it is not my graphics card which is damaged maybe?
I do have a fan in the room and the card has never gone past 73 degrees celcius, it is normally between 69 to 71

Nevertheless i had the same hard drive when i was playing nice and also mining nice and then all of a sudden this weekend speeds have gone down for games and mining coins, i dont understand this.
Only things i can think of is maybe the graphics card is tired? but its like 2 weeks old.... and then the harddrive swap file size? and then the many different drivers i have installed and uninstalled.

Right hand side of their driver download page under the "Helpful Links" header: "Download Previous Drivers & Software"

Takes you here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/previous?os=Windows 10 - 64

Multiple installs of drivers both forwards and backwards in versions can do weird stuff. Clean install drivers and/or use something like DDU if you've done this.

Don't play with the swap file if you don't know what you're doing - let Windows manage it.

Graphics cards don't get "tired".

So u are telling me there is hope and my speeds should be fine when i try agaun with clean install of drivers.

umm.. yes. Either you have a software issue, or the hardware is faulty (not likely).

If it came down to it you could do a clean install of Windows. If the problem persisted, your RX470 is still under warranty - send it back.

Here's my 2 cents - games usually do best with current drivers. Mining sometimes does better with something older. Doing both on the same system will make things sub-optimal for one or the other.

Well i hope my car d is not buggered cause i need to get it back to the UK and im down south ... so it will take a while.
I would probably have to get 2 people to get it sorted for me. one to take it back and then hope they swap it quick.... within a week? OR else i need somebody to go there again and then bring it back for me.

I will try to do a driver uninstall again... run ccleaner, super anti spyware, junk removal tool, and also adwcleaner.
Then i will go in to windows in safe mode and see what device manager looks like and make there there is a red marking by the display adapter and then try to just install any dam version of 16.11 or 16.12 i will play enie minie mo.

Thank you for that previous link in AMD.. i will try to see if i understand how to found it.

I tried to google this, but what the hell is the deal with Relive?
Also is it necessary for me to install the whole "package" or can i just select "Display Driver" only?

If you have a bitcoin address or something please send it to me i want to donate 50 cents or something for your help, thanks
