Its been a while since I have done a mineral oil system, but it looks like we are going to go down that path again for a client.

The last time we built some test systems we used Puget chassis, but from what I understand their mineral oil cases were shutdown by patent trolls. Does anyone know of anyone building a COTS(Commercial off the shelf) chassis for mineral oil submersion? I need five of these for the test bed, when we go to build out the production racks we will build those, but the testing I would just like to find some COTS ones in ATX so that we can try server class systems out.

Thank You

from what I know and can find online its strictly diy now as LiquidCool Solutions(patent troll) sits on all the patents so nobody has a premade kit anymore. get a tank and some plexi to make a lid and mobo tray(if needed).

yup that's what got kyboshed. luke on ltt did a build in it last year I think.

Find a case with a decent removable motherboard tray, and use that as a base for installation, and then build a case around that for mineral oil.

FWIW, clients have used our tech stations for these types of projects. Basically, just need to rotate the station 90-degrees.

unfortunately no, the trolls killed it.

I was looking at building my own test bench a little while ago and stumbled here...

Could make it go more smoothly, and they have a TON of other stuff as well
