The detail retention in the GFX 50S is great. Looking forward to seeing more of your photos using it.

I'll have to hold onto my D800E for the foreseeable future. No extra funds right now for a camera change.

Nothing special just a quick snap with my phone while I was out on my bike.

I'm also finally trying some IR. I'm finding that an 87C filter picks up light in a workable way on my 7D. And these sorts of photos need lots of work. This has some channel swapping and adjustments to get this look.

And the same scene, normal color view.

JStamsek, some of those pics look like somewhere near Saguaro Lake, Four Peaks, Red Rock, maybe The Superstition Mountains. Nice pics!

So, darktiger, how was it working with Carol? I worked with her a few years ago...seems like forever now!

She is doing great. I knew her when she first started modeling. She divorced her husband and now seeing someone new and is now very happy. She is getting back into the modeling thing.

Wow, that pic of sunset is unreal. Love it. I'm heading to Sedona, AZ this weekend. Any recommendation and tip? :)

Park there. Only room for a few cars. And find the trail to walk down to the creek. Most people don't know about it. Also, it's a mile and a half up the street from Slide Rock Park which is amazing...but often extremely crowded when the weather is warm.

Other than that, the 89A just north of Sedona. So many places to park and enjoy the surroundings. There's also a vista view point a little further up that's worth a stop. Hope this helps.

Oh, and you can take the pink jeep tour which takes you to a view point of Sedona that's worth every penny. Schnebly Hill Road. There is a back way I took my Honda Civic at the time...but the dirt road has a lot of rocks and is sketchy.

Mr. Stamsek - excellent shots. I'm not a portrait shooter nor a pro so my humble opinions here... I really like the atmosphere and the "grit," and the images kind of tell his story a bit too. And fun. Well done. A couple questions - the lighting on the first one seems odd to me. I like the feel of the image, but I find the hard cutoff just below his jaw line a bit of a let down. It would be cool to have a reflector off to the left or something to give some fill light to pull all the cool tattoos out of the shadows a bit. Also, speaking of tattoos - I know a lot of times they're considered copyrighted by the tattoo artist. Do you have to be careful of where or how you sell or post these images because of the ink?

I was using one off camera flash. The shoot was impromptu. And this was done in his garage. Lol.

Now enough with the excuses. Yeah, the light isn't exactly what I had hoped in the first image, but he was good with it. And at the end of the day all that matters is that he is happy with them.

As for the tattoo's, I never even thought about it. I didn't charge for the shoot nor am I selling the images. It was just fun with a friend who is an artist.

And to be 100% honest, I'm never really happy with my images. Always room for improvement and I appreciate your feedback.
