For all you phone guys out there, Samsung has let loose with a ton of Galaxy S8 information this morning.

S7 vs S8 Infographic - Smartphones Without Limits - The Galaxy S8 Design and UX - Bixby, the Galaxy S8 Intelligent Interface - The Galaxy S8 Camera - The Galaxy S8 Infinity Display - 8 Galaxy S8 Features You Should Know About Check the display video out.

Might want to stop by Amazon to check on fire suits as well. Cheap shot...

Looks nice. Most phones such as this one seem to lack one feature I love. Stereo speakers. Been rocking a Nexus 6 for years and have yet to see a phone I would rather have at this point.

Disregarding my hatred for Samsung's software, I'm not sure it's particularly compelling. The battery is the same as last year's model. We already have a Google assistant, so I don't need a competing Samsung one. The other things (camera, security, home interface, etc.) aren't particularly unique. Not that they have to reinvent the smartphone every year, but it seems like this isn't a large jump up from the S7 models. I think it's still just Samsung hoping you'll use their telemetr...I mean assistant instead of Google.

After switching from Samsung to a Pixel, would never go back to a Samsung phone. Found no reason to root/custom rom the Pixel as it actually works out of the box compared to the garbage Samsung lays on top of android.

I can't wait to ditch this piece of shit S7 Edge I have for a Pixel 2.

Definitely loving the look of this phone. So far Samsungs phones just have the best features overall, although I am saddened by my loss of IR blaster. Might be time to upgrade from the free GS6 I got with my TV. Haven't purchased a phone in over 3 years! New record for me.

Am i crazy to hate the curved glass edges? I mean it just screams "BREAK ME"
And on top of that, no glass based screen protectors do a good enough job since they
cannot conform to it.

EDIT: Just noticed a spec sheet investigation shows this to be the first
bluetooth 5.0 phone. Very likely to get it now.

I merely wanted a phone that was ip68 and bluetooth 5.0.

Sorry but glass protector do exist. Look for Spigen FlexHD which is a soft protector that is applied using water based solution.
Works great on my S6 for 2+ years. Also, unless you don't use any case... the edges are fine. For example I use the S6 Edge case from Spigen which all 4 corners are higher than the glass which means unless you drop it on a sharp edge, the first point of contact will be the case.

Edit: I see you said glass base protectors.. what do you mean by that ? (Sorry about my english)

Is that really a better product ? My S6 Edge is still in mint condition and I love the look the edges.. I guess you only need to worry if you do not use a case and drop it often.. (only 1 sofa drop in 2 years isn't bad)

How about they lower the price of these things? And we wonder why iPhone sells when their competition can't even beat Apple in price.
